When Ben Carson was eight he had a Christmas he couldn't forget his grandparents swamped them with toys and they loved it.

8 Years Old • When Ben was eight years he moved into

his new house and it was called a tenement building they had a lot of rats and tons of roaches. Their mom said they would have to just deal with it. When Ben Carson was eight he had a Christmas he couldn't forget his grandparents swamped them with toys and they loved it.

Early life• Ben lived in a the city of Detroit with his older brother Curtis. One

day Ben’s mother said to him that his dad was going away for a while and that he had done same bad things. But Ben couldn't accept that and he asked questions all the time and his mother got tired of it and finally told him. Their father had another family, kids, and wife so Ben’s mother kicked him out the house forever and Ben was very sad he said every day eh went to the end of the driveway and waited for him to come home but he never did. When he started going to school he didn’t make very good grades and all the kids picked on him and laughed and called him names. When they had their eye exams by the school they said he couldn't see so good he could have classified as cripple. So the school provided him glasses for free.

• Ben also had angers problems he tried to stab his best friend over a radio station.

• He tried to punch his mother and his brother took him to the ground.

• Ben learned how to control his anger by praying to god and ignoring what people say to him.

High School• When Ben got to high school he took a class

called JROTC. It was sort of like an army class. Ben Carson was in that class and he wanted to get the highest rank because there was only like 3 or 4 kids in the state to get to the highest rank and he wanted to be one of them.

• Ben got to the highest rank to and everyone was proud of him even himself.

Australia • When Ben Carson got into college he and

candy got married and wanted to go to Australia. So he went to Australia and Ben treated over 1000 patients and helped Australia society to be a more safe and healthier place.

College • When Ben Carson got to college he met a girl named

candy she was meant to be the most beautiful girl in the whole school or at least that’s what Ben thought. Later on they stayed in a dorm room together they also started dating each other. Before they new it they were helping each other with work and anything they needed each other for.

• One day they were driving down the road together and Candy went to sleep and left Ben driving and Ben got to tired and went to sleep. Next thing Ben new he hit the side rail and started to spin out of control. Quickly he turned off the car and Candy woke up and said what happened Ben sad he was just resting and then they drove back o their dorm room and slept for the night

Changing the Rules• During Ben’s college Years he worked

several different jobs. He Worked in the schools laboratory, during the summer he worked at Wayne State University.

College Choices• When Ben was in the cafeteria retaking an exam

because someone in the science room set the room on fire by accident. So everyone is in the room saying I'm going to leave and come back tomorrow and take the test so everyone leaves and after a while Ben is the only one left in the room. The teacher came in the room and gave him a $10 dollar bill because he was honest and staying knowing he studied.

Doctor • In college Ben Carson studied how to be and

took a class about how to be a neurosurgeon. HE knew more than some of his teachers. One time when they were teaching them how to perform a surgery on the head. When they had to find a whole in the back of the head, so what they did was get a medical device and start poking around until they found the hole. But Ben found a different way and it was way smarter too.

Pediatrician• When Ben got a job as a pediatrician he

preformed lots of surgery's on kids that were uncomfortable with the regular doctors. Most everyone liked him but some of the white people didn't like him because he was black but then after a while everyone started to get to know him and like him better.

A Girl Named Maranda • When Maranda walked in through Doctor Ben

Carson’s door he knew it would have a big impact on his career And on this girl he would perform his first hemispherectomy. All the other doctors turned it down cause they said it could not be done. It had been 3 frightful long years with Maranda she had a lot of seizures. They would have to remove the left side of her brain.

The SurgeryBefore the surgery began Ben had DR.

Neville Knuckey to assist him. It took an amazing 10 hours to complete they had to keep calling for more blood cause Maranda was losing it so quickly. The surgery had been a success and after that day Maranda had no more seizures and in a couple of months she had learned to move the right side of her body better than she ever could before.

After Surgery• After the surgery Dr. Ben Carson was very

pleased with himself for completing the surgery and saving a little girls life. Maranda was a very lucky girl to have here life saved.

Jennifer

• Jennifer was a little girl that had the same problem as Maranda. Jennifer had a lot of seizures and she had them off and on. Jennifer had to go to a hospital and while she was in there she died.
