Participants can contact the following persons for any query regarding participation:

NOTE:

1. There is no registration fee for participation.

2. For on-the-spot registration, the registration shall close one hour before the scheduled time of the event.

3. On the spot registration will be open only for events where maximum permissible entries are not met or if there is any cancellation by any pre-registered team.

4. Late entries will not be allowed.

5. All the accompanists and participants shall carry valid identity card of their respective institute along with a photo id-proof else they will not be allowed to participate in the concerned event.

6. All the final participants are required to get themselves registered; else, they will not be entertained.

7. Props, dresses, stationery, special equipment, instruments etc. will not be provided by the Institute and will not be compensated for as well. It will be the sole responsibility of the participant/participating team.

8. The decision of the Judges shall be final and binding.

9. Institute will not be responsible for loss of any personal belongings of the participants.

10. Any participants found involved in the acts of indiscipline or misconduct shall be liable for disciplinary action.

11. Results shall be declared during the closing ceremony of ZENITH 2020 followed by distribution of Prize & participation certificates.

12. First & Second Position Holders of each event shall be awarded Prize (Kind / Cash) & Merit Certificate. All Participants shall be given Participation Certificate.

13. Performance sequence of events will be based on first cum first basis. In case anyone misses the opportunity, will be adjusted in the end.

KUCH COOK KARE (COOKING WITHOUT FLAME)

RULES FOR KUCH COOK KARE

❖Team size: 2 Participants

❖Max teams allowed: 35

❖Time Limit: 60 Min

❖Judgment Criteria's: Taste, Presentation ,Innovation (ingredients used)

❖Other guidelines

1. In this event, each team is to prepare two items-one drink and one salad /snacks.

2. Participants are required to bring their own raw material (fully/partially cooked material are not allowed.

3. Participants should bring their own cutleries.

4. Use of flame is not allowed.

5. Alcoholic items are not allowed.

6. Judgments by the judges will be final and binding to all participants.

7. First Prize : 2000/- Second Prize : 1000/-

EVENT-2

TWIST-N-TURN (SOLO DANCE)

RULES FOR TWIST-N-TURN:

❖Team size: 1Participant

❖Max participants allowed: 30

❖Time Limit: 4-5 minutes.

❖Judgment Criteria's: Performance (Expressions), Costumes, Song Selection, Originality & Creativity

❖Other guidelines

1. Participant will have to bring their song in pen - drive.

2. CD's should be properly tagged with the song name, participant name.

3. What type of props you are using should be informed earlier. Props related to fire will be prohibited.

4. No obscenity & vulgar moves.

5. First Prize : 2000/- Second Prize :1000/-

EVENT-3

EK MINUTE KA KHEL (MINUTE TO WIN IT)

RULES FOR EK MINUTE KA KHEL (MINUTE TO WIN IT)

❖Team size: 1Participant

❖Max participants allowed: 40

❖Time Limit: 1 min

❖Judgment Criteria's: Player who will complete the game in minimum time will be the winner

❖Other guidelines

1. Students will get a Minute to Win It.

2. In this event the participants are to complete the small challenges such as put a thread in the needle, defying gravity, baby blocking game etc. in a minute.

3. There will be one game to be played. The player who will complete the game in minimum time will be the winner.

4. There should not be any discussions or use of unfair means.

5. Individual players have to show their points to the event coordinator.

6. Maximum number of participants for the event should not be more than thirty.

7. There will be three levels. Elimination is based on the basis of 50 % of the total participant in each round.

8. First Prize : 2000/- Second Prize : 1000/-

EVENT-4

FACE PAINTING

RULES FOR FACE PAINTINGS:

❖Team size: 2-3Members per team

❖Max teams allowed:35

❖Time Limit: 45 minutes.

❖Judgment Criteria's: Impact on first glance, designing, neatness, idea/Theme justification

❖Other guidelines

1. Theme will be given on the spot.

2. In this event, one team member is to make painting on the face of other team member on a given theme.

3. Teams can consist of maximum 3 members, out of which 2 members can paint.

4. Painting is to be done by brushes, paints and sponge. Candidates have to carry their own material.

5. The painting should not extend below the neck (however neck may be included).

6. No external help like internet is allowed during the event.

7. The decision of judges would be final and binding.

8. First Prize : 3000/- Second Prize : 2000/-

EVENT-5

NUKKAD NAATAK (STREET PLAY)

RULES FOR NUKKAD NAATAK:

❖Team size: 8-20 Participants per team

❖Max teams allowed: 15

❖Time Limit: 15-20minutes.

❖Judgment Criteria's: Script(Dialogues), Social Message, Direction and acting, Connectivity

❖Other guidelines

1. Play should be in Hindi only.

2. Play should revolve around social cause or convey any social message.

3. Each member of a team should perform in the act.

4. Negative marking if the time exceeds.

5. Use of banners, posters and placards is allowed.

6. Props should be arranged by the participants.

7. The decision of judges would be final and binding

8. First Prize : 5000/- Second Prize : 3000/-

EVENT-6

GEET GAATA HOON MAIN (SOLO SINGING)

RULES FOR GEET GAATA HOON MAIN:

❖Team size: Max 2 Participants per team (1 vocalist, 1 Instrumentalist if any)

❖Max teams allowed: 25

❖Time Limit: 2-3 minutes

❖Judgment Criteria's: Rhythm, voice quality and performance , Stage Presence

❖Other guidelines

1. Participant will have to sing a single song. Medley of songs will not be allowed.

2. Participants will have to bring their own karaoke or instrument.

3. An instrumentalist can accompany a vocalist.

4. First Prize : 2000/- Second Prize : 1000/-

EVENT-7

Elocution

RULES FOR ELOCUTION

❖Team size: 1Participant

❖Max teams allowed: 40

❖Time Limit: 1 Minute

❖Judgment Criteria's: Choice Of Points, Confidence, Pronunciation & Enunciation, Grammar, Choice Of Words, Body Language

❖Other guidelines

1. On the spot a topic will be given to participants

2. The content must be original and must not have been previously delivered by other contestants.

3. A time period of 5 minutes will be given to the participant for thinking on points he needs to elaborate and just one minute will be given to speak on his/her topic

4. Once a participant picks up a chit, he/she will not be allowed to use his phone or talk to any other member.

5. The medium of communication will be English/Hindi.

6. The contestant has to speak continuously without any pause or repetition of a word for 60 seconds.

7. In case of any discrepancy, argument or confusion, the decision of the judges will be considered as final.

8. Any involvement in malpractice during the rounds will lead to immediate disqualification

9. Crossing one minute or finishing before the bell rings will lead to negative marking.

10. Speaker who uses obscene or vulgar language will be disqualified.

11. Discrimination against race, religion , sex, cast or group will lead to disqualified

12. First Prize : 2000/- Second Prize : 1000/-

EVENT-8

Rap War

RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR BATTLE OF RAP

❖Team size: 1-2 Participants (1 accompanist allowed, if any)

❖Max team allowed: 25

❖Time Limit:5 min

❖Judgment Criteria's: Originality, Voice Modulation, Lyrics, Connection with audience , Stage Presence

❖Other guidelines

1. The content must be original and shall not infringe upon any third party copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights nor shall it contain any vulgar words and sexually explicit lyrics

2. The language and dialect to be used in the battle is either English, Hindi , Haryanvi, Punjabi.

3. Singing part should be minimum, and rapping part should be maximum.

4. Background Music is allowed.

5. First Prize : 2000/- Second Prize : 1000/-

DAY 2: 29th February 2020 (SATURDAY)EVENT-1

THE TREASURE HUNT (KHUL JA SIM )

RULES FOR THE TREASURE HUNT:

❖Team size: 2Participants

❖Max team allowed: 20 (maximum 2 teams per college)

❖Time Limit: 60 min

❖Judgment Criteria's: Shortest time

❖Other guidelines

1. Maximum 10 teams will be registered on FIRST CUM FIRST SERVE BASIS.

2. Clues will be hidden, which have to be found and treasure is to be found in the shortest time.

3. Point value will be assigned for each clue that is found during the treasure hunt.

4. Teams should pick up only one copy of the clue at each location.

5. If any team that tries to physically obstruct the hunt for the other teams, it would be disqualified.

6. Outside help is not permitted during the treasure hunt.

7. Winner Prize Treasure Basket Worth Rs. 2000/-

EVENT-2

LAN-E-JUNG (LAN GAMING)

RULES FOR LAN-E- JUNG:

❖Team size: 1

❖Max team allowed: 40

❖Time Limit: 2 min for each round

❖Judgment Criteria's: Shortest time

❖Other guidelines

1. There will be one game to be played. Participants are to play a Videogame.

2. There should not be any discussions or use of unfair means.

3. Teams have to show their points to the event coordinator.

4. Total number of rounds will be 10 (02 minutes each).

EVENT-3

BEST OUT OF WASTE

RULES FOR THE BSET OUT OF WASTE:

❖Team size: 2-3Participants per team

❖Max team allowed: 40

❖Time Limit: 45 min

❖Judgment Criteria's: Creativity, Usability, Actual Raw material Used, Presentation.

❖Other guidelines

1. A team should consist of minimum 2 members & maximum 3 members

2. Only waste material should be used. Other stationary things like fevicol, scissors, stapler, tape etc. Is allowed..

3. The participants need to bring their own waste material. Use of partial, whole or readymade model and any other unfair means will directly lead to disqualification.

4. The recycled products should be useful.

5. Decision of the judges will be final and binding.

6. First Prize : 3000/- Second Prize : 2000/-

EVENT-4

TAAL-SE-TAAL MILA (GROUP DANCE)

RULES FOR GROUP DANCE:

❖Team size: 8-20 participants per team.

❖Max teams allowed: 25

❖Time Limit: 5-7min

❖Judgment Criteria's: Dancing Style, Coordination, Costume, Expressions And Choreography, Selection Of Songs

❖Other guidelines

1. All dance forms are allowed.

2. CD's should be properly tagged with the song name, participant name.

3. Time limit for the performance should be 5-6 minutes. In case of exceeding the time limit, negative marking will take place.

4. Teams have to bring their own props and costume.

5. Teams have to report 02 hours before the event time.

6. Sequence of performance will be based on first come first basis.

7. Separate green rooms will be provided for girls and boys.

8. First Prize : 5000/- Second Prize : 3000/-

EVENT-5

RANGOLI

RULES FOR RANGOLI:

❖Team size: 2 participants per team.

❖Max teams allowed: 40

❖Time Limit: 1.5 hr

❖Judgment Criteria's: Creativity, Theme justification, symmetry and color combination, neatness

❖Other guidelines

1. Theme will be given on the spot.

2. Use of flowers, only dry rangoli colors, etc is allowed.

3. Designing should be done on the spot.

4. Disqualification is possible if found cheating.

5. Places for rangoli making will be allotted then and there.

6. Decision of the judges will be final and binding.

7. Use of any electronic device is strictly prohibited.

8. First Prize : 3000/- Second Prize : 2000/-

EVENT-6

OPEN MIC COMPETITION-STAND UP COMEDY

RULES FOR OPEN MIC COMPETITION-STAND UP COMEDY

❖Team size: 1 participant per team.

❖Max team allowed: 25

❖Time Limit: 5 minutes

❖Judgment Criteria's: Body Language, Fluency , Spontaneity & Expressions , Sense Of Humor , Overall Impact And Audience Response

❖Other guidelines

1. Content should not involve any such thing which hurts sentiments of any particular person, community, race or gender

2. The act can be in Hindi/English or both.

3. The participants will not be allowed to use any external electronic device etc.

4. Any obscenity, lewd comments or anti- nationalistic statement is prohibited.

5. No participant can point out individual without prior permission.

6. Decision of the judges will be final and binding.

7. In case of exceeding the time limit, negative marking will take place.

8. First Prize : 2000/- Second Prize : 1000/-

EVENT-7

INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC

RULES FOR INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC:

❖Team size: 1- 3 participants per team.

❖Max team allowed: 25

❖Time Limit: 5 min

❖Judgment Criteria's: Rhythm , degree of Difficulty , Stage Presence, Tone, Techniques

❖Other guidelines

1. The competition is open to all the instrumentalists. All instruments are allowed like woodwinds, Brass, Strings, Keyboard, Piano etc.

2. Applicants must supply their own instrument for the competition.

3. First Prize : 2000/- Second Prize : 1000/-

EVENT-8

ZENITH FASHION MANIA (MR. & MS. ZENITH)

RULES FOR ZENITH FASHION MANIA:

❖Team size: 1

❖Max Participants allowed: 20 Girls , 20 Boys

❖Judgment Criteria's

Round 1: Appropriateness of Outfit, Confidence, Walk

Round 2: Overall Performance, Audience Response, Originality Stage Presence

Round 3: Best Answer, Poise, Delivery of Answer

❖Other guidelines

1. There will be three rounds: Introduction followed by Ramp Walk, Talent Round and Question - Answer round.

2. In the first round, each participant has to give his or her introduction in 2 minute, along with ramp walk.

3. There will be elimination after first round. Best 10 in each category (Female & Male) will be selected for second round.

4. In second round, participants have to show their talent. There will be elimination again after second round. Best 5 in each category will be selected for final round.

5. Third round will be question – answer round.

6. Theme- Unity in Diversity.
