The establishment of GHREPOWER has its origin in the research and application mandate at the
China Wind Research Institute dating back to 1978. Today, GHREPOWER employs more than
200 people worldwide, and focuses its design and development purely on the small and medium
sized wind turbine systems. GHREPOWER has a dedicated workforce and experienced
Research and Development Team of more than 30 engineers from a wide variety of backgrounds,
including civil, mechanical, aerodynamics, electrical, electronics, computer science and
software.
GHREPOWER holds over 30 technical patents in the design of its Gearless-Direct-Drive,
Permanent Magnetic Generator, Controller and Inverter; Ideal for farmers, businesses and
communities. All components of the system come with a 5 year manufacturers warranty and a
five-year maintenance contract is also available.
GHREPOWER is the first and only small wind turbine manufacturer in China to proceed with
independent testing outside of China. The GHREPOWER 50kW turbine is currently undergoing
MCS testing at the TUV site in Scotland, with testing to be completed in 2012.

Our gearless direct drive Permanent Magnet technology eliminates the need for a
gearbox in induction type generator. This results in improved generating
efficiency and system reliability.
The smart pitch control brake, mechanical brake, electromagnetic brake, dump
load and active yaw system are intelligently controlled and adjusted under
extreme weather conditions to ensure the highest levels of safety and protection.
With an optimised low speed Permanent Magnet Generator and favourable
aerodynamic characteristics of the blades, the noise level is reduced to a
minimum.
The GHREPOWER 50kW wind turbine is in the process of MCS testing based on
the IEC and BWEA standard in Scotland. Certification is expected imminently.
The GHREPOWER 50kW is suitable for domestic, commercial and community
applications.

The first 100kW wind turbine with gearless, active pitch control and
permanent magnet generator design in the world.
The smart pitch control brake, mechanical brake, electromagnetic brake,
dump load and active yaw system are intelligently controlled and adjusted
under extreme weather conditions to ensure the highest levels of safety and
protection.
GHREPOWERs full power inverter converts and transfers unsteady wind
energy to a steady AC power of constant frequency and voltage to the grid. It
isolates the wind turbine from the grid to ensure the wind turbines safety and
minimise disturbance to the grid.
The GHREPOWER 100kW is suitable for domestic, commercial and
community applications.

Active pitch control technology allows the turbine to automatically adjust its
pitch angle during periods of strong wind and capture more wind energy
during periods of low wind. It also ensures a steady power output, increasing

All components, except the towers, of the GHREPOWER 50kW and 100kW wind turbines are
manufactured in house in Shanghai, China. On site facilities include the generator and control
system assembly, electrical and electronic workshops and a system integration and testing
facility. These resources allow us to have total quality control over our products. Every wind
turbine goes through a complete system testing before leaving the factory.

GHREPOWER products are found worldwide. There are currently GHREPOWER 100kW wind turbine
installations operating in China, South Korea and the USA. The GHREPOWER 50kW wind turbine is
operating in 23 countries around the world, including Scotland, Belgium, Russia, Italy and Sweden. After the
successful completion of the first two pilot projects in Nepal in 2011, the ADB (Asian Development Bank) have
selected GHREPOWER, as its sole qualified supplier for the wind-solar hybrid system for their upcoming
initiative to power-up selected rural areas in Asia.
