One day Training cum mentoring sessionorganizes for NIYANTRA-2015 participants(National Instruments’ LabVIEW competition)Under the IEEE Professional society.

Department of Electronics Engineering organizes oneday training cum mentoring session for NIYANTRAparticipants on 25 July, 2015 Under the IEEEProfessional society. NIYANTRA is annual NationalInstruments’ LabVIEW based competition. Total 6groups from various Nagpur Engineering colleges havequalified for Round 2 of NIYANTRA which includes 2teams from GHRCE (Electronics Dept.), 2 teams fromYCCE and 1 each from VNIT and Nagpur Institute ofTechnology.All these teams have attended the session. Experts fromArav System Pvt.Ltd.(NI alliance partner) Mr.Vikas andMr. Sameer conducted the session. The main focus ofthis session was to guide the students on their project forround 2 of NIYANTRA. The whole activity Under theIEEE Professional society was coordinated byProf.Ravikumar Tiwari who is also the guide of 2selected teams from GHRCE.

RRC seminar of M Tech VLSI and M TechElectronics students on 17th and 21st Julyrespectively

Research recognition committee panel was formed forM Tech VLSI and the activity was conducted on 17thJuly 2015 in which Dr. R. M. Patrikar was externalexpert from VNIT Nagpur. The same was arranged forM Tech Electronics on 21st July 2015 in which theexternal expert was Dr. K. D. Kulat, Professor VNITNagpur. Some corrections were suggested in the titleof project for third semester students along withvaluable suggestions from the experts. The panelincluded Dr. S. S. Dorle, HoD, Electronics EnggDepartment, Dr. U. S. Wankhede Dean R&D, Prof. A.Thomas Dean PG. M Tech coordinators Dr. S. D.Giripunje and Prof.P.H.Rangaree coordinated theentire activity.

Department of Electronics EngineeringOrganized A Technical Talk by Mr. Shaswat Jha(GHRCE Alumni) on cracking GD, PI in CampusInterviews under IEEE Professional activity for3rd & 4th year Electronics Engineering on03/08/2015. His discussion was helpful inunderstanding new concept of GD and PI. Alldoubt, and queries of students were solved.Students discussed their problems with Mr.Shaswat Jha. The whole activity was conducted byProf. L. P. Thakare.

Electronics Engineering Department forumZENITH organizes an awareness program onDigital India campaign for the students ofKunal Madhyamik Vidyalaya, at IsasaniVillage as part of Institute SocialResponsibilities (ISR) activities. The team ofZENITH informed the students about DigitalIndia and how it will improve the educationsystem in India. Students were also informedabout e-kranti, e-classroom, e-scholarships. Atthe end of program, a quiz was organized onusing internet for intuitive learning. Theprincipal of school thanks the ZENITH teamand GHRCE for organizing such activities.The Head of Department Dr. Sanjay Dorle alsoappreciates the ZENITH team and encouragesstudents to organize more such ISR activitiesfor nearby villages. Prof. Ravikumar Tiwari,Forum Co-Incharge accompanied students andcoordinated this activity.

Department of Electronics Engineeringorganizes one-day workshop on 8th Aug 2015“General Awareness Program on Modern DigitalElectronics & Embedded systems” underZenith-2015 for students of 1st SEM 3rd SEMand 5th SEM. Mr. Abhijeet Bhagat (ResearchAssistant) and Prof. N.P.Wyawahare from ETRXdepartment conducted this workshop. Total of25 students from Electronics & First yearbranch have registered for the workshop.The main objective of the workshop was to getfull updated knowledge under Digital Indiabanner by knowing & getting generalawareness in Modern digital Electronics &Embedded system with specially Brain machineinterface which became most interested part ofworkshop.

A Guest Lecture on Computer Networks wasorganized on 7th August 2015 by ElectronicsEngineering Department, for the 45 students of VIISem ETRX (A & B).The lecture was delivered byMs. Ankita Chaturvedi Senior Network Engineer,Citrix, Bangalore. She is also an alumni fromG.H.Raisoni College of Engineering. Sheanswered each and every question raised bystudents regarding scope in IT sector, her role inCitrix etc. She helped a lot in clarifying student’sdoubts .She also shared her experience at Citrixand the work she carried out at company’s end. Itwas essential for students to know her views inperson. The guest lecture was coordinated by Prof.B.B. Sayankar.

Under that Mr.Vaibhav Chaudharyfrom ETRX 5th SEM B created LOGOhas been selected for Banner ofZenith. Head of Department & Prof.N.P.Wyawahare has congratulated thewinner. Total of 15 students fromdepartment has registered for theCompetition.

August 2015 by Dr.Shyam Karode. He is working as JointCEO in INOTEK Antennas, Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK.He was welcomed by Dr. S.S. Dorle, Head of ElectronicsDepartment, GHRCE. He mainly focused on the design &development of Advanced Broadband Antenna that can bemanufactured to meet the industrial applicationrequirement. He discussed necessary information to studentabout the types of antennas, manufacturing industriesstandard and procedure of manufacturing antennas. Themain goal of the lecture was to discuss the recenttechnology & design requirement in the field of AdvancedBroadband Antenna application. Post graduate students ofVLSI and Electronics course was benefited by the lecture.Queries related to antenna design process were nicelyentertained by expert. Prof. S.V. Bhalerao, coordinator,proposed vote of thanks.

Post Graduate Students of MTECH (VLSI) Ist

and MTECH (Electronics) Ist semester hadvisited to INOTEK Antennas manufacturingplant at Nagpur on date 08th August 2015. Themain aim is to provide students a glimpse ofthe actual work situation and to understand theindustry environment and study the productionof product manufactured. They have providednecessary information to student about thetypes of antennas, manufacturing industriesStandard and procedure of manufacturingantennas and the visit has successfully done.Visit is organized by Department ofElectronics Engineering, GHRCE, Nagpur.Prof. K.N.Dekate, Prof.B.Sayankar &Prof.A.Baiswarey were accompanied to thestudents in the visit.

Students of GHRCE selected for ESCALADE 4.0 under IIT Guwahati.

Robotics competition ESCALADE 4.0 under IIT Guwahati, first round heldat Ramdeobaba college of Engineering. Students of Electronics departmentalong with other department students, GHRCE, Nagpur participated incompetition. It is the fourth edition of this technical extravaganza, andrightly called Escalade 4.0. This competition is conducted in two phases,prelims and mains.The preliminary part of this event scheduled on 19th of July in 12 citiesacross the nation. The major technical attractions of the nation-Pune,Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Bhopal, Indore, Patna, Bhubaneswar, Nagpur,New Delhi, Jaipur, Kolkata, Chennai, Chandigarh and Guwahati were thevenues to this edition of Escalade. The problem statement for this round is todesign a manual bot which can translate on the bridge and put the colorblock in the respective color pit.The students of Second year Electronics department, Vinay Motghare, AnkurPatil, Aditya Andraskar, Pallavi Wasni & Soumya Shatry clear the prelimsround and are selected for main round which would be held at IIT Guwahaticampus in the first week of September.Thanks go to student’s mentor Sourabhh Janbandhu [Mtech.
