WHAT IS A CHALLENGE GROUP?
A Beachbody Challenge Group is a private group that provides support and accountability.
It is a group of people, led by YOU (a coach), who have committed to getting healthy by
participating in a Beachbody workout program while engaging with you and the other
participants in a private Facebook group. By combining itness, nutrition, and support and accountability, a Beachbody Challenge Group plays a huge role in helping your Coaches
and customers achieve their goals.

HOW TO PLAN YOUR CHALLENGE GROUP
How many participants are you allowing? I recommend
sticking with 10-12 participants at a maximum. You want to
make sure you have enough time to coach each participant
and follow up with them weekly. If your irst group has - in it, you are of to a “REAT start.
STEP 3
What are the requirements for your challenge group? Do
they need to follow a meal plan? Do they have to submit
before & ater pictures/measurements? Make sure you have the guidelines and requirements prepared in a word
document so you can post in your private Facebook group
PRIOR to your challenge group starting. The sky is the limit for what you can do in your groups. It is your business, so
run with it! You just want to make sure your participants
are fully aware of what they are committed to.
STEP 4
Is this challenge group free or is a program and/or Shakeology required? If a program is required, which
program are you using? Example Day Fix Also, keep in mind, orders must be placed -7 days BEFORE your start date so your participants receive their program in time.
Allow a little more time for orders going to Canada.
STEP 2
Plan your start date & end date. What is the duration of
your challenge group? Remember, you will want - weeks to promote your challenge group before it begins.

WHEN? You want to be promoting your group at least
every other day. Also make sure you are posting at
diferent times throughout each day. See example on the next page.
As you will see, one day I posted in the evening and the next
time I posted it was in the morning. You want to attract to
diferent crowds, as people are logging into Facebook at diferent times.
WEEKLY POSTING SCHEDULE EXAMPLE:

are posting a VARIET) of inviting material. Switch
up your posts from using
just text and using text

GETTING PEOPLE TO
COMMIT TO YOUR
CHALLENGE GROUP
Now that you’re actively promoting your challenge
group, you want to be
prepared when someone
reaches out to you with
interest. This step can be scary for coaches,
especially if they aren’t
prepared. I recommend
keeping a template on hand
that you can easily modify
and send back to people.

HERE IS AN EXAMPLE OF THE FIRST EMAIL I
SEND AFTER SOMEONE SHOWS INTEREST IN MY
CHALLENGE GROUP:
“Hey Alison!
{Insert personal message here}
I am excited to see you’re interested in this amazing group I have coming up!
It’s called day ix, and it is a day program with minute workouts and it includes a complete meal plan, and also comes with color coded tupperware containers to help with portion control. You don’t have to count calories, you just have to make sure the food its in the containers and that you are choosing options from the speciic meal plan. How cool is that? We have never had anything like this before.
They ran a test group with some other coaches and the results were awesome! Most losing - pounds in the irst days. Some coaches did the program multiple times in a row and have lost 50-60 pounds. It is very successful, and is also one of the most afordable programs we’ve ever released, being $ and that INCLUDES a whole month supply of Shakeology which is normally $120 alone, so you’re getting the new program for only $20!
Seeing as though it takes 21 days to create a habit, this is the PERFECT way to start your journey to getting it and feeling good. I will post daily to check in on you and hold you accountable to your goals. This group will be private, held on Facebook and can all be done from home. We can share our struggles and victories with each other! As your coach, I am committed to helping you ind the motivation and extra push you NEED to get to the next level
Let’s kick some booty! Let me know what questions you may have, and if you would like me to save a spot. I will only be allowing 10 ladies into this particular group and it will ill fast! Thanks!
Best,Alexis Whalen”

HERE IS AN EXAMPLE OF HOW A FOLLOW-UP
MESSAGE MIGHT LOOK:
“Hey Alison! I just wanted to follow-up with you and see
if you were still interested in my upcoming challenge
group. I would love to hear back from you and see what
your speciic goals are so I can help you succeed in getting healthier. I only have spots let and the deadline to sign-up is by this Friday. Are you in?”
It is important to follow-up with a sense of urgency. The best way to do that is by letting them know there are
only ( number of spots let in your group. Also, end your message with an open ended question. You are more likely
to get a response back asking a question versus ending the
message with something like Let me know!
The next step is your inal email and getting them to commit. This message can vary depending on how the irst few messages went. If they do ask about cost and investment, you want to show them the value. That is why there are challenge packs. Show them how much they
are saving buy bundling their products together. Once
you get a verbal commitment that they are in and ready
to purchase, you want to make sure you give them clear
instructions to place their order. This is to ensure you get the sale and commission from their purchase.

HOW TO RUN YOUR CHALLENGE GROUP
1. LEAD BY EXAMPLE
First and foremost, it is important you are leading by
example. You cannot expect your challengers to do what
you are not doing. The most successful groups are the ones that you are completing WIT” your challengers. If you are not completing the challenge group with them, make sure
you are familiar with what programs they are using and
what there daily workouts look like. This will help you check in with them daily. If you know they just had a Plyometrics
workout, then maybe you will post and ask “Are your legs
feeling sore ater all those jumps? . It is important to pay attention to detail and stay focused on your challengers
journey. This is a very vulnerable time for them, so they need all the attention and support they can get.
2. POST DAILY, MORE THAN ONCE
Make sure you are making time to post at LEAST times daily. Preferably once in the morning and once in the
evening It’s always good to start the morning of with a motivational quote, picture or video. Maybe mention something about the workout they will be doing for the
day. If you can ind time to post around lunch/aternoon, its a good time to share a recipe or photo of a clean meal
you just had. The more active you are in posting, the more likely your participants will follow you and do the same.
Also, if they see that you are being a product of the product
by eating clean and getting your workouts in, it will help
hold them accountable. For the evening, this is a good time
to do an “accountability check”. Ask them to comment on
your post and let you know how their day went. I typically
ask them to mention one “high” of the day (something
that went well) and one “low” of the day (something they
could improve on).
3. KEEP IT INTERESTING
You want to keep your
challengers engaged to hold
them accountable to their
goals. Ask them questions,
make them comment on
posts, encourage them to
post pictures of their meals
and so on. Get creative!
CHALLENGE GROUPS 101 12
/AWHealthFitness
HERE ARE SOME EXAMPLES OF HOW I KEEP IT FUN
AND INTERESTING IN MY GROUPS:
HIGHS & LOWS: This is where everyone has to post below in the comments section with 1 high and 1 low from their
day. The high is the best part of their day where they felt proud and accomplished. The low is something they could improve on for tomorrow.
MID-WEEK MOTIVATION: This is where I post a short video of myself pumping the members up and keeping
them motivated for the rest of the week. Videos are great!
Challengers always love to see your face and hear your
voice since they are so used to seeing/hearing you behind your Facebook account.
FLEX FRIDAY: I always encourage people to post a picture
of them lexing. This is a fun way to build conidence in your challengers. I like to comment on these photos and tell them
they are looking awesome and I can deinitely see some deinition in their arm! or whatever muscle they post .
#WEEKENDWARRIOR: This is a fun weekend contest I do. I tell my challengers for every picture they post on the
weekend of themselves representing a “healthy lifestyle”
they get 1 entry for a free prize drawing at the end of the
challenge. I ask them that they use this hashtag AND tag me in the photo so I get the notiication. I encourage them to use Facebook and Instagram. This is also a great way for others to see the fun stuf you do in your challenge groups and may create some interest!
CHALLENGER
HOMEWORK:
This is where you could throw in something extra
for your challengers.
Maybe you tell them they have “homework” to hold
a plank for 60 seconds and
report in ater they did it. Maybe you tell them they need to post everything
they ate for that day.
GOAL SETTING SUNDAY:
Have your challengers
post their goals for the
upcoming week.

CHOOSING A CHALLENGE GROUP WINNER!
You want to make sure you are choosing a winner fairly. It
is best to pick by percentage weight loss, see below. Also, it
is great to recognize your winner by sharing their results on
your Facebook page, but MAKE SURE to get approval from them before sharing. This is a very private thing for people and some may not be comfortable with you posting their
results publicly. You do not have to reward your challenge
winner with a prize, but they will most certainly appreciate
it if you do. This does not have to be expensive. )ou can do something as simple as a Shakeology shaker cup ($6)
or maybe when you are further along in your business
and can aford it, you can reward them with a $ or $ Beachbody git card.
You can use this website to enter in your challengers weight
loss statistics and it will calculate percentage weight loss

CHALLENGER TO COACH TRANSFORMATION
The most prime place to ind coach prospects is in your challenge groups. If you follow these simple steps, you can
transform your rockstar challengers into solid coaches.
STEP 1: Know how to identify a coach prospect. A good
coach prospect can be spotted easily. They are usually the person the most ACTIVE in the challenge.
In other words, they are posting consistently in the group.
They are motivating and encouraging to other members in the group as well.
STEP 2: Plant the seed
This step in the process is very important. )ou do NOT want to overwhelm them too much information. It will
scare them away and turn them of. My best advice is to keep it short and simple. Go for no! Do not expect them
to join. People need time to ponder it. It may take weeks,
months, or years. The point is to stay in touch with them. Out of every that you ask, you can only expect maybe to ever join you.
STEP 3: Present the business!
If they show interest in your irst message, this is your opportunity to present the business to them. It is
important to keep this conversation natural. Do NOT shove Beachbody down their throat. Make the conversation more about T”EM and less about )OU.
HERE ARE SOME EXAMPLES
OF HOW TO MESSAGE THEM
AND PLANT THE SEED ABOUT BECOMING A COACH:
“Hey Breanna! Have you ever
thought about doing what
I do? Just by your amazing
dedication and consistent
participation in the group.,
I think you would make an
awesome coach!”
“Hey Julie! Have you ever
thought about running your
own online challenges?
You would be an awesome
coach! I’ve been super
impressed with your positive
attitude and supportive
posts to everyone”
CHALLENGE GROUPS 101 15
/AWHealthFitness
HERE IS AN EXAMPLE OF THE NEXT MESSAGE TO SEND
AFTER THEY SHOW INTEREST IN COACHING:
”ey Breanna! I’m excited to hear back from you! The coaching opportunity is through Beachbody, as you
know from ordering the day ix from me. As a coach, the emphasis is really on supporting people and helping
them reach their heath and itness goals along with you while you’re on your own itness journey. It is a lot of fun and it can all be done on your own time. You really can
put as much efort into it as you would like. About 9 % of my coaching is done online through social media by
running challenge groups and about % just in just talking with friends, family and co-workers about my
own itness journey! It is a great way to make money, and help others while doing it. The income is limitless and it is so rewarding. I love that you don’t have to keep
products in stock and there aren’t certain sales quotas
that you have to hit. Also, I run coach training courses on
FB (a lot like the challenge group you’re in) every month
and personally train/mentor you how to be a coach and how to be successful in the business. My next one starts next Monday. This would be the perfect time for you to join my team and start of on the right note! Does that sound like something you want to do?”
As you can see, I ended this message with a question. It’s
important to always end your messages with an open
ended question. Again, you are much more likely to get a
response back from them. You could also end it by inviting
them to a call with you and giving them a few times that
work for you. Don’t give them the chance to say no, just
ofer up some good times for a call.
If they do respond back,
but say NO, do not get discouraged. At least at this
point you have presented
the opportunity and they
are aware that they can
join you down the road.
Chances are this is just
not a good time for them. I
have had many people who
have approached me later
on when they are feeling
it’s a good time for them.
STEP 4: Sign them up!
If they responded back to
your message and they
are interested, it’s time to
sign them up!
