When NETs produce too much serotonin, your body’s natural serotonin levels can be thrown off balance. The extra serotonin in the gut can lead to Carcinoid Syndrome Diarrhea.

What Causes Carcinoid Syndrome Diarrhea? Carcinoid Syndrome Diarrhea occurs when a NET cell produces too much serotonin.

When a tumor forms in the neuroendocrine system, it may produce too many hormones, like serotonin.

When taken as directed, XERMELO helps reduce Carcinoid Syndrome Diarrhea. XERMELO should be taken 3 times a day, every day, with a meal.

Use your XERMELO daily pack as a reminder. Put it somewhere, like in your lunch bag or next to your refrigerator, so you’ll see it when you eat your meals.

How XERMELO Was StudiedIn a clinical study, some people with Carcinoid Syndrome received XERMELO along with SSA injections. Other people received SSA injections alone. All were followed for 12 weeks, and observed for reductions in daily diarrhea.
