Getting Started

Click ‘New’ button to create a new project

Type project and version name

If you are upgrading your projectfrom the previous version ofBEXEL Manager, click 'Save' afterproject opening to finalizeupdate process

Click ‘Choose from samples’

Double click on one of sample models

Select .besln file, then press ‘Open’

Selection sets

Selection sets palette contain options for grouping elements into selection sets

Create selection set:Manually - by selecting elements in the viewerSmart selections sets - using queries

Selection sets can be organized into selection set folders.

Visibility of elements included in particular selection set can be controlled from this palette

Level mapContains options for easy navigationbetween different buildings andbuilding levels. Current cameraposition can be easily controlled bymoving the navigation circle in thelevel map.

Quantity Takeoff Enabling Quantity Takeoff tab allows creation andpresentation of custom quantity takeoffs from any availablemodel elements.

Edit Quantity TakeoffClicking on the button Edit – opens Edit Quantity Takeoff window.This window is almost identical in features as Create QTO windowand enables additional editing of already created grouping options,color coding and quantification options.

Clicking on the button New opens the drop down menu.Choose preferable option (Blank Quantity Takeoff…) to startCreate Quantity Takeoff window. In this window various QTOquantification, creation and grouping options are available.You can choose a predefined properties such as Category,Source, Material, etc., as well as other model elementproperties in form of Discrete properties or Continuousproperties.

Export QTO ReportExports the selectedQTO into *.xlsx fileformat. Prior to theexport, variousexporting options areavailable in thepresented exportwindow.

Set Color Coding Rule ButtonEnables setting custom coloring based on selected groupingproperties. When turned on – elements included in the QTOshall be presented color coded in the 3D Color Coded View.

Schedule ImportEnables import of Primavera orMS Project schedule files in*.xml format.

Schedule Editor – Logic previewEnables custom schedule creation and editing in the form ofvisual logic relations. Clicking the “Pop Out” button stretchesthe logic view window to a full screen size.

Schedule ExportEnables export of created schedules into *.xml files fully compatible with other planning software such as Primavera, MS Project etc.

Schedule Editor – Gantt previewEnables custom schedule creation and editing in the form of agantt graph. Clicking on “Pop Out” button shall stretch thegantt view window to a full screen size.

Schedule Editor – Line of Balance previewEnables custom schedule creation and editing in the form ofline of balance. Clicking on “Pop Out” button shall stretch lineof balance view window on a full screen size.

Export Schedule AnimationEnables export of the createdschedule animation into imagesequence in order to createvideo. Available variousoptions such as setting imagesize and format, exportingcustom frames and overridingvisual settings. Export ofstereoscopic image sequencein order to create stereoscopicvideo is also available.

Schedule Animation – Task Display

Schedule Animation – Animation Display

Displays schedule activities visible in the schedule viewer during construction simulation. These are grouped by tasks on the left side of the window. On the right side, a progress bar and percentages of completion along with data regarding total cost of the activity and completed cost on the date are presented.

Displays schedule animation tools for creation of custom schedule video. These tools enable options such as saving multiple schedule videos and camera movement during animation. Each video can be made by custom camera positioning (key frames) during schedule simulation – shown on the right schedule animation window area.

Exchange processGetting Started

Exchanging data between users of BexelManager platform is a process of exchanging BXFfiles. With this option, multiple users can workon different parts of the model simultaneously

Choose what sections should be exchanged

Check what data in chosen section should be exchanged (if there is a multiple choice)

Click ‘Yes’ if you want to include linked documents in exchange file

Type a name for an exchange file and click ‘Save’

Choose exchange file for importing

Choose whether to match existing sources in the model or to ignore source matching

Choose what sections should be exchanged
