Get to Know the Event Page By now you should have learned how to easily create a username, login to your account and change your temporary password in our earlier e-Guide documents.

Now we will show you what are the different sections of an event page on EventNac.com.

By the end of this lesson, you’ll know how to:

Identify the main event details of an event. Identify the description section and how to register for an event that you like. Play a video on the event page. Get directions using the Google Map function on the event page. Add the event that you like on your own calendar. Share an event that you like on social network or via email. Leave a comment on the event page. Find other related events.

Get to Know the Event Page

1. Event Title: This is the main title of your event that you are submitting. It can be any

event name, for example “Lion King The Musical 2014”.

2. Event Author and Statistics: This indicates who created or posted this event (doesn’t have to be the Organizer) and how many time it has been visited in Total and Today.

3. Event Start Date/End Date & Time: This information indicates when the event will

start and end. Certainly there’s a start and end date & time to every event.

4. Location: This is the location of where the event is held, which can be linked to a Google map for direction.

5. Website: This is a link that user can click to redirect to your own website or the event’s website. Clicking on this link will open up a new webpage.

6. Social Platform Button: This is a button that can be clicked, which will redirect the user to the social network page (i.e. Facebook and Twitter).

7. a) Add to Calendar button: This is a very useful button that allows users to conveniently save the Event information (i.e. event title and location) and the dates to their Outlook Calendar, Google Calendar, Yahoo Calendar or iCal Calendar (as shown below). b) “Yes, I am” button: This button allows you to indicate your attendance (only for logged in users) for this event.

8. Location Map or Image Gallery tabs: These are tabs that display the location of the event in a map (powered by Google Map) and Image Gallery that contains pictures related to the event.

9. Print: This button allows the user to easily printout the event in a beautiful layout

that user can easily keep for reference (partially as shown below).

10. Map Pinpoint: This is the map view pinpoint indicating the location of the event on

the Google Map. In addition, you can also click on the “+” or “-“ button on the top left hand corner of the map to zoom in or zoom out of the map to show more details. Using your mouse or finger (on mobile or touch screen devices), you can drag the map around or “pinch” it to zoom in or zoom out.

11. Your location address field: This field is for you to fill in your current location or

location which you will be travelling from to the destination of the event in order to get the direction (explained in Item No. 12).

12. Get Direction button: Using the address maintained in Item No. #11, clicking on this button will display direction on how to get to the event location (as shown below):

13. View Large Map button: This button opens up a new webpage of Google Map to

allow you to use the full functionality of Google Map.

14. Description: This is the detailed description of the event. You can fill in any

information that is important and related to the event here. 15. Video: This is a YouTube or other video source that is attached to the event that can

be played directly on the event page. This will not open up a new YouTube or other video source pages.

16. Organizers details: This section of the event page provides information of the organizer of the event. In this example, “The Walt Disney Company”. Details of the information that can be maintained here include Name, Address, Email and Website.

17. Contact the Organizer button: This information immediately trigger a contact form

on the event page that allows user to directly send an email through the page to the Organizer’s email ID. If no email ID is maintained, the email will not be sent.

18. How to Register: This section provides all the information on how user can register

for this event. This section is freely maintained by the person submitting the event. 19. Social Network buttons: These buttons allow user to share this event on various

social network platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Email, and many more! Clicking on it will prompt a pop-up window to sign in to your social network account(s).

20. Event Categories: This information indicating the category that the event is listed

under. An event can be listed in one or more categories as necessary.

21. Your Review: This section allows users to leave a comment on your event.

22. Related Events: This section highlights the related events that are similar to the

current event you are viewing.
