En el barrio Yungay, Boulevard Lavaud es más que un salón de té y restaurante, es parte de la historia de Santiago. Mejor conocido como La Peluquería Francesa, es parte restaurante, tienda de antigüedades y salón de belleza. Veras muchos espejos, decoración de distintas épocas y estilos, buena comida, y más espejos.

In Barrio Yungay, Boulevard Lavaud is more than a co�ee and restaurant, is part of Santiago history. Better known as La Peluqueria Francesa, is part restaurant, part antique store and part hair salon. You will see many mirrors, decoration from di�erent times and styles, great food, and more mirrors.

La Piojera es un bar chileno histórico fundado en 1916, que obtuvo su nombre luego de que el ex-presidente Arturo Alessandri exclamo que el lugar era una piojera, en 1922. Es aquí donde nació el terremoto, trago típico chileno llamado así luego del terremoto del 27 de febrero del 2010.

La Piojera is a historic chilean bar founded in 1916, which got its name after ex-president Arturo Alessandri exclaimed that the place was a “lice hole” in 1922. This is where the terremoto was born, a typical chilean drink named after the earthquake that took place on February 27, 2010.

El mercado principal de Santiago, ubicado al lado del Río Mapocho, es gloriosa y caóticamente Latinoamericano. Las frutas y verduras son montañas de adentro hacía afuera, los vendedores se jactan del tamaño de sus ciruelas, a las amas de casa se les regaña por apretar la fruta. Colores, variedad, vida.

Santiago’s main market, set next to the Mapocho River, is gloriously, chaotically Latin American. Fruits and vegetables are piled high inside and out, sellers brag about the size of their plums, housewives are scolded for squeezing the fruit. Colors, variety, life.

Este bar parece un restaurante Americano de mediados de los años 50, y puedes escuchar desde 50s rock hasta lo que escucharías en un pub de Londres hoy en día. Sirve muchos platos locales y tragos, incluyendo una fantástica carta de vinos.

This bar looks like a 1950's American diner and plays music ranging from classic 1950s rock to what you'd hear in a mid-2000's London pub. It serves many local dishes and drinks, including great wines.

Especialista en sándwiches, sus preparaciones tienen varios puntos a favor, como la mayonesa y el pan caseros, además de una atención rápida y amable. Lomitos y churrascos están dentro de sus preparaciones más conocidas, pero un pequeño secreto es el Rumano, una hamburguesa con carne de vacuno y de cerdo con mucho aliño, una verdadera delicia.

Specialists in sandwiches, their preparation includes many points in favor, such as homemade mayonnaise and bread, apart from fast and nice attention. Lomitos and churrascos are amongst their most known menu items, but a little secret is the Rumano, a hamburger made of condimented beef and pork, a real delicacy.

Una de las tres casas del famoso poeta Pablo Neruda, La Chascona signi�ca mujer de pelo enredado, nombrado por su tercera esposa. La casa esta llena de muchos artefactos peculiares recolectados por el mismo Neruda a lo largo de su vida, además de obras de arte de sus amigos famosos.

One of three homes of the famous poet Pablo Neruda, La Chascona means tangle-haired woman, named after his third wife. The house is �lled with lots of quirky artifacts collected by Neruda throughout his life, as well as artwork by some of his famous friends

A pesar de la antigüedad del barrio, la plaza sólo nace hace unas décadas atrás por el interés de preservar una serie de fachadas, partiendo por la histórica casa del mulato Gil de Castro. Está demarcada por un centro cultural montado el año 1982, y por muchos otros lugares para parar a descansar.

Despite the age of the neighborhood, the square was built only a few decades ago following an interest to preserve a series of facades, starting with the historical home of the mulatto Gil de Castro. Outlined by a cultural center build in 1982, and by many other places to stop by for a rest.
