GET INVOLVED With the passage of health reform, Doctors for America (DFA) works to educate physicians and the public about the new law, ensure its successful implementation and continue to advocate for further improvements to our health system. There is much work to be done to build an equitable, affordable and effective health care system. n Educate yourself, your colleagues and your community about the new health reform law. Join an online webinar to get yourself up to speed about what is in the new law and how to educate your community about the complex law. Download DFA materials to hand out in the community — in your office, at senior centers, at your church, community fair or other community organizations. n Get involved with your local DFA team to identify local issues to improve the healthcare system in your state. Defend the new health reform law from false attacks through sign-on letters, earned media opportunities (events, op-eds, letters to the editor) and press releases. Join interactive conference calls with senior HHS Officials who are overseeing the implementation of the health reform law so you can get your questions answered about the process and substance. Join an online training on how to be an effective physician advocate.
