From the Associational
Missionary, Jerry W. Price
Can you believe the month of January 2017 is already behind us? It seems to have passed by in a flash! Scripture implores us, Come now, you who say, “Today or
tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit” – yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.” (James 4:14-15
ESV) With the rapid pace of life today, it seems we hardly have time to catch our breath; however, there exists a massive amount of opportunities, activities, ministries and challenges that I believe the Lord has placed before us. Don’t be left behind in a cloud of dust. Determine even now to get on board and commit to be all that God has designed you to be; then offer yourself to Him as a willing servant. You’ll be amazed at what He can do through one individual who is wholeheartedly sold-out to Him. Your associational staff, team leaders, and officers stand ready to assist your church in reaching the goals you have set for evangelism, growth, discipleship, missions, leadership, and fellowship. Please feel free to call on us for information, resources, training opportunities, or any other services we can provide. It is the heartfelt desire of Northeast Louisiana and Morehouse Baptist associations to assist all of our churches in carrying out the Great Commission. The cooperative effort between our churches and the associations will strengthen the bonds of fellowship and enlarge the vision of what can be accomplished in the days ahead. Will you join me in the prayer that 2017 will be the greatest year yet in church participation in the work of the association? Let’s work together to expand the Kingdom of God by sharing the gospel throughout our world!
