Our safety, industrial hygiene and ergonomics specialists can help you develop effective strategies to make your workplace safer and healthier. They can visit your workplace or consult with you by telephone or email.

These services are available for any private or public employer. BWC also offers specialized options for certain employers.

You can request these services online at www.bwc.ohio.gov or by phone at 1-800-644-6292.

An option for small, high-hazard private employers The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) primar-ily funds our OSHA On-Site Consultation Program. The program focuses mostly on employers in high-hazard industries that employ fewer than 250 employees, and want help identifying and correcting safety and health hazards in their workplaces and developing effec-tive safety and health management systems. Many employers in construction, manufacturing, transportation, health care, and other industries are eligible.

OSHA On-Site Consultation Program consultants undergo the same specialized training as federal Compliance Safety and Health Offi-

cers (CSHOs). They can help employers address the same issues CSHOs typically look for during workplace inspections. However, unlike federal OSHA, BWC’s OSHA On-Site Consultation Program does not issue citations or fines. Our OSHA On-Site consultants can help you avoid citations or fines by providing compliance solutions.

You can request OSHA On-Site services online at www.bwc.ohio.gov or directly by phone at 1-800-282-1425.

An option for public employers Our Public Employment Risk Reduction Program (PERRP) focuses on the unique needs of Ohio public employers. These employers include state agencies, counties, municipalities, townships, schools and other public employers. PERRP provides training, outreach, education and compliance assistance to help Ohio’s public entities prevent occupational injuries and illnesses. PERRP compliance assistance services can:

n Guide you through complex regulatory requirements.n Help you develop workplace safety and health programs.n Raise awareness on how workplace injuries and illnesses affect

financial resources.

You can request PERRP services online at www.bwc.ohio.gov, or directly by phone at 1-800-671-6858.
