Attributes of the two Variations of Car-SharingStation-based Car-Sharing Free floating services

Locations Decentralised, but fixed locations Distributed in the streets within a specific business area

Patterns of usage Vehicles have to be returned tothe location where they werereserved

One way rides within the businessarea are possible (flexibility)

Reservations Vehicles can be reserved in advance (reliability), relativelyspontanious usage of not reservedvehicles is possible

Vehicles are used spontaniously, they cannot be reserved in advance, max. 30 minutes in advance „secured“

Tariffs Time and mileage components, depending on size of vehicles

A (comparably expensive) time tariff per minute (for most of therides)

Other attributes oftariffs

Different tariffs for frequent resp. unfrequent users, in some cases a monthly fee

Reduced tariffs for waiting periods(if user wants to travel back), parking charge included
