“GERIATRIC DAY”-2019

Department of Prosthodontics is celebrated “World Geriatric Day” on 1st October

2019. The event was graced by Dr H. M. Kadam, Regional Director Bharati

Vidyapeeth Sangli, Dr Vidya Dodwad, Principal Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be

University) Dental College and Hospital Sangli and Dr Nilima Bhore, Principal,

Bharati Vidyapeeth Nursing College, Sangli.

On this occasion Essay Competition for students and interns was conducted on 25th

September 2019. 38 students actively participated in this competition and the

creativity prizes were awarded in two categories and all the participants were awarded

with certificates.

The geriatric patients who reported on this day to the department were educated

through audio visual aids and models regarding different treatment modalities in the

department and also the awareness about oral hygiene and nutrition was explained to

them. Hi tea was arranged for the staff students and patients.
