You are being asked to volunteer in a study by researchers at Georgia Tech. All you have to do to participate in the study is fill out this short, online survey. As compensation for completing the survey, you will receive a $5 Starbucks gift card. Instructions to receive the gift card are on the last page of the survey. You must be at least 18 years old to be in the study. The purpose of this study is to examine how transit riders use new technologies when riding MARTA (Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority). The survey takes about 510 minutes to complete, and the questions include: 1. Your use of the MARTA bus and rail system, 2. Your use of smartphone apps related to MARTA, 3. Information about you, for example, your age and ethnicity, and 4. Your Breeze Card number (a 16digit number on the back of your Breeze Card). In order to receive the $5 Starbucks gift card, you must complete the entire survey, including providing your 16digit Breeze Card number. We (Georgia Tech) cannot gain access to your Breeze Card account. Your Breeze Card number will only be shared with MARTA, in order to determine how many trips you have recently made on MARTA buses and trains. The survey data collected in this research study will be kept strictly confidential. Study records will be kept confidential to the extent allowed by law. The risks involved are no greater than those involved in daily activities. Your participation in this study is voluntary. You do not have to be in this study if you dont want to be.
