From Ethiopia to New Zealand• My Dad was born in Africa

but his parents are from NZ• About every 3 years his

family (Mum, Dad, Sister, 2 Brothers) traveled to NZ

• The most recent trip was in 1978 with my Dad aged 16 where they migrated and decided to stay in NZ

On the Plane

• My Dad traveled a plane to NZ but it wasn’t able to fly the complete trip so they had to make 7 stop!

• The trip took about a month (including all the stops and holidays on the way)

• There weren't many challenges on the way since it was mostly just exciting although the flight was very long and tiring

They arrived in NZ 1 month later and stayed at my Dads Uncle and Aunts place for a while

Interesting FactsA few of the places they stopped off in were-

Seycelles and Ceylon (which is now Sri Lanka)

The first time my dads family traveled back they had to go by boat- this took about a month as well but without the stops
