What is Dual Enrollment/Accel?
• ACCEL is a program developed to
allow students to pursue postsecondary
study while receiving dual high-school
and college credit for courses
successfully complete.
• You can participate in Fall or Spring or
both.
• You must reapply every year.

in online classes.

Dual Enrollment/Accel Program
Admissions Requirements:
• Permission from parent/guardian and high school counselor
• Minimum 3.0 Academic GPA
• SAT score:
• Combined score of 970
• 480 in Verbal/Critical Reading
• 440 in Math
• ACT score:
• Composite score of 20
• 20 in English
• 18 in Math
• Legal resident of the state of Georgia
Dual Enrollment Tuition and Fees
The program is funded by Georgia Student Finance
Commission and the HOPE scholarship.
Tuition is covered 100% but student/parents are
responsible for fees and books associated with program.
• Total fees for the program: $150
(per semester)
Please note that book cost will be based on the course
selection and at the professor’s discretion.

Documents Required for Enrollment:
• Online admissions application and $30 application fee
• Dual Enrollment Consent Form
• Send official high school transcript
• Send official SAT or ACT scores
• Immunization Records
• Proof of Lawful Presence (Driver’s License, Original Birth
Certificate, or Passport)
• Online ACCEL application submitted electronically through
www.gacollege411.org
Dual Enrollment VS. MOWR
• Student can be part-time or full-time
• Only tuition is covered; Fees and books are student’s responsibility
• Lower test score and GPA requirements
• Can only take Accel Approved Courses on www.gacollege411.org

• Higher test score and GPA requirements
• Can take any courses offered by the college

Admissions Requirements:
• Be currently enrolled in a Georgia public high school
• Permission from parent/guardian and high school counselor
• Minimum 3.5 Academic GPA
• SAT score:
• 550 in Verbal/Critical Reading
• 550 in Math
• ACT score:
• 24 in English
• 23 in Math
• Legal resident of the state of Georgia
Move on When Ready (MOWR)
Tuition
• Tuition AND fees are covered by the MOWR program
• Student is responsible for book costs
• Student is allowed to take any courses
offered by the college, including Health
and Physical Education courses.
