We receive your love, We receive your healing grace. At the heart of the Christian faith is our participation in the life, suffering, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ as Lord. During the season of Lent, we affirm that in the heat of our struggles and at the root of our joys, stands the One who frees us from the bonds of our slavery; the One who heals us that we may live life and live that life abundantly. Lent is a time of reflection and repentance; a time of redirecting ourselves towards God. However, while there is a somberness to Lent, there is also the joy of affirming that God’s love claims us even in the midst of our rebellions. Accordingly, each Sunday in Lent remains a celebration of life and we leave our Lenten worship services singing a hymn affirming God’s love and grace.
