to the President regarding the University’s budget. Successfully advocated for faculty/staff morale funds. Member, Enrollment Management Committee. This committee sets the university enrollment

targets upon which budgets are based. University Senator. Chair, University Senate Committee on Planning and Development Chair of the following subcommittees of Planning and Development: University Mission

Statement, Faculty/Staff Dining Club. Member, University Senate Committee on Admissions and Standards. Member, Critical Thinking Through Writing Leadership Team. Department Department Chair. At GSU, department chairs are 12-month administrative employees with

budget authority. The chair is chosen by the Dean and the position does not rotate. The Department’s budget is over 1.5 million dollars. It has 18 full-time faculty, approximately 45 supported graduate students and 3 staff. The Department serves over 6,000 students per year. Departmental activities included: --search for two new faculty as part of the Second Century Initiative proposal in

Neuroethics. The proposal was funded for $300,000. --continued program to improve the diversity of philosophy majors and graduate students. --developing an online version of Phil 2500, Symbolic Logic. --implementation of plan to flip all sections of Phil 1010, Critical Thinking. --developing a Graduate Certificate in Practical Philosophy. --supervising the move of the Department to new (larger) office space. --in partnership with the College of Law, developing LLM/DJS and LLM/MA in

Philosophy. Member, Neuroethics 2CI Leadership Team. Director, GSU-Sorbonne Philosophy Exchange Program.
