You need to be able to explain these graphics they aren’t just something you show and move on.

Geologic History• Talk about the different geologic processes

that shaped your park in the order that they occurred (oldest first).

• Give a reference as to how long processes have been at work (use the geologic time scale).

• Which processes are still occurring today?• Cover the Plate Tectonic Setting and how it

affected the history where appropriate.

Group Responsibility

Produce a power point presentation on the geology and geologic history of a

National Park (minimum of 15 information slides)

Individual Responsibility

Produce a minimum of 5 slides (Do 1/3 of the work)

Present your portion to the class.

Minimum Technology Requirements

• Title Slide (Not part of the 15)• Uniform Look• Author of each slide at the bottom of the slide• Bibliographic Slide (Not part of the 15)• Imported graphics in each section (pictures,

clipart, etc….)• Use at least one different slide transition in

each section

• Use at least one change in font style and color – Make Sure font size and color are readable.– Don’t crowd your slides

• Have at least one change of text transition (how the words show up on the slide).

• Music/Sounds are good but make sure it is appropriate.
