The visualization bar
Number of records By default 50 records per page are displayed but you can choose to display more or less records using the “records per page” menu. Paging To go to the next or previous page, click the right or left button. View switcher Hybrid: Combines map view and list view Map: Map view only List: List view only
The toolbar
Search The content manager provides 3 ways to search through records: -‐ Quick search allows you to find all objects containing a specific word or character. -‐ Search in a column is accessible from the advanced search mode and allows users to find all records in a specific column. -‐ Proximity search is accessible from the advanced search mode and allows users to find all records around an address, defined by a radius distance. Filters The content manager provides 2 ways to filter records:

8
-‐ Filter by geocoding quality: Drag the “Filter by level” slider to the desired range. -‐ Specific filters containing multiple criteria. Sort by column value You can sort your list by clicking the column name in the header.
C. Assess the geocoding quality of your data By geocoding data, GeoAnalytics Builder assigns latitudes and longitudes coordinates to your records addresses in order to display data on a map. Depending on your addresses precision, GeoAnalytics Builder assigns automatically a geocoding quality level represented by the marker color. At any moment you can get information about records geocoding quality from the list view. Mouse hover a marker and a tooltip informs you about the geocoding level how to improve it.
Geocoding levels and marker colors: Level 6 = Address level. This is the best geocoding accuracy Level 5 = Street level. Street number is required. Level 4 = Zip level. Street name and street number are required. Level 3 = City level. Zip, street name and street number are required. Level 2 = State level. City name, Zip, street name and number are required. Level 1 = Country level. State, City, Zip, Street name and number are required. Level 0 = Unable to geocode data.

3. Geocode your data Geocoding is the process of transforming physical addresses into latitudes and longitudes in order to enable your data to be displayed and analyzed in a geographic context (on top of a map). TIBCO GeoAnalytics Builder enables geocoding of data with street level precision by importing an existing data table or by geocoding addresses manually.
A. Import a data table to geocode
You can import data from .xls, .xlsx or .txt file in GeoAnalytics Builder. 1. From the homepage, click “Import new table from .xls, .xlsx or .txt file” button. 2. Select the data table to import. 3. Enter a table name and select a table type (see Table types). 4. Check / un-‐check the column to import and assign each column to a data type. 5. Select import options (see Import options). 6. Click “Create” button. Your table is now processing and you will received an email as soon as the operation finished.

10
Import options -‐ Table type: An object table contains objects only and won’t be geocoded. Object tables required data types are ID and Names only. An addresses table will be geocoded (latitude and longitude columns will be added to the table) and requires the following data types: ID, Names, Zip, City and Country. -‐ Auto-‐generate id field: If your table does not contain a unique ID column, this column will be automatically generated by checking this option. -‐ Clone (no processing): No geocoding will be done. GeoAnalytics Builder will only import the table without doing any processing. -‐ Geocode only records which are not geocoded: Only the records that do not have a latitude and longitude will be geocoded. Records already containing latitude and longitude will be kept untouched. -‐ Activate records automatically when geocoding quality reaches… : Activate publication only for records with a minimal specified geocoding quality (see “Assess the geocoding quality of your data” part).
Considerations about the data table -‐ Data must contain at least the following fields to be geocoded: Name, City, Zip and Country Code. -‐ The first line of your data table is considered as header and must contain the column names. This is not possible to import table with multiple headers. -‐ Country codes must be 2 letters countries codes as defined by ISO 3166-‐1 alpha 2. -‐ Data must use UTF-‐8 encoding format.
B. Create a data table manually GeoAnalytics Builder allows the creation of empty tables. 1. Click “Create a new button” button. 2. Select the table type (see Table types) 3. Enter a table name. 4. Add desired columns. 6. Click “Create” button. Your table is now ready and you can start adding new records by opening the table.

D. Delete record(s) 1. Select one or multiple records from the list. 2. Click the “Delete” button from the toolbar. 3. Confirm deletion.
E. Refine geographic positions using delegation The “Send to PinPointer” feature helps companies refine the geocoding quality of their data by delegating the task of positioning addresses to addresses owners. By using this feature, owners receive an email asking them to verify a geographic position and provide improved geographic information and position when necessary.
