The Song of Genghis Khan.

Genghis Khan was the man.He lived a super great lifespan.

Born in eleven-hundred sixty-two,His early life is without a clue,

But his dad did die when he was nine.Yet little Gengi, he was fine.

His mommy raised him, And taught him means of survival;

Little did they know of Genghis fate’s arrival.

Mongolia wouldn’t be here today,If Genghis Khan didn’t say hey,

Let’s unite all the landAnd make the biggest empire that’ll ever stand.

In twelve-hundred six,Khan had the guts to intermixAll the tribes of the Mongols

Under one Khuriltai. (meeting).

It was an excellent achievement, And his dad would’ve been proud

And definitely an adherent.For this allowed

The Mongols to form a crowd.

Temujin, Khan was declared.He definitely wasn’t scared;

He was totally prepared,To take on the dare.

Khan was tolerant of other religions he dominated.

He cherished trade and rarely alienated,

Unless one was to stand in the way,Then they would be executed and

have no say.

He loved trade and craftsDecided to start a written language

Left behind a legal codeBut then all of a sudden, progress slowed.

In twelve twenty-seven,Khan died at the age of sixty-five.

He might have gone to heaven,But his legacy is still well-alive.

Lands Khan ruled when he died.
