(1) In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.

 

Hebrews 11 (Faith)(1) Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of

things not seen…(6) And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists

and that he rewards those who seek him…

(13) These all died in faith, not having received the things promised, but having seen them and greeted

them from afar, and having acknowledged that they were strangers

and exiles on the earth.

Genesis 2 (Command)

(16) And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, "You may surely eat of every tree of the garden, (17) but

of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall

surely die."

 

Genesis 3 (Fall)(1) Now the serpent was more crafty than any other beast of the field that the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God actually say, 'You shall not eat of any tree in the

garden'?" (2) And the woman said to the serpent, "We may eat of the fruit of the trees in the garden, (3) but God said, 'You shall not eat of the fruit of the tree that is in the midst of the

garden, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.'" (4) But the serpent said to the woman, "You will not surely die.

 

Genesis 3 (Serpant)

(5) "For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing

good and evil."

 

Deuteronomy 4 (Not Add or Take)

(2) You shall not add to the word that I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God that I command

you.

 

Hebrews 5 (Discernment) (12) For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need

someone to teach you again the basic principles of the oracles of God. You need milk, not solid food, (13) for

everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, since he

is a child. (14) But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their

powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish

good from evil.

 

Philippians 4 (Focus)

(8) Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is

lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think

about these things.

 

Genesis 4 (Prophet Abel)

(3) In the course of time Cain brought to the LORD an offering of the fruit of

the ground, (4) and Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their

fat portions. And the LORD had regard for Abel and his offering,

(5) but for Cain and his offering he had no regard. So Cain was very

angry, and his face fell.

Genesis 4 (Cain and Sin)

(6) The LORD said to Cain, "Why are you angry, and why has your face

fallen? (7) If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well,

sin is crouching at the door. Its desire is for you, but you must rule

over it." (8) Cain spoke to Abel his brother. And when they were in the

field, Cain rose up against his brother Abel and killed him.

Genesis 5 (Likeness of Man)

(1) This is the book of the generations of Adam. When God created man, he made him in the likeness of

God. (2) Male and female he created them, and he blessed them and named them Man when they were created. (3) When Adam had lived 130 years, he

fathered a son in his own likeness, after his image, and named him

Seth.

 

Romans 5 (Sin & Death)

(12) Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all

men because all sinned—

Genesis 6 (Flood)(5) The LORD saw that the

wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention

of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. (6) And the

LORD regretted that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him to his

heart. (7) So the LORD said, "I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the land, man and animals and

creeping things and birds of the heavens, for I am sorry that I have made them." (8) But Noah found favor in the eyes of the LORD.

 

Genesis 11 (Tower)

(3) And they said to one another, "Come, let us make bricks, and burn them thoroughly." And they had brick

for stone, and bitumen for mortar. (4) Then they said, "Come, let us build

ourselves a city and a tower with its top in the heavens, and let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be dispersed over the face of the

whole earth."

Hebrews 6 (Assurance)(18) so that by two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for

God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us. (19) We have this as a sure and

steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind

the curtain, (20) where Jesus has gone as a forerunner on our behalf, having become a high priest forever

after the order of Melchizedek.

Romans 5 (Justified)

(1) Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. (2)

Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the

glory of God. 

 

Genesis 28 (Jacob)

(16) Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, "Surely the LORD is in this

place, and I did not know it." (17) And he was afraid and said, "How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the

gate of heaven."

 

Genesis 28 (Jacob Negotiates)

(20) Then Jacob made a vow, saying, "If God will be with me and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat and clothing to wear,

(21) so that I come again to my father's house in peace, then the

LORD shall be my God, (22) and this stone, which I have set up for a

pillar, shall be God's house. And of all that you give me I will give a full

tenth to you."

 

Genesis 32 (Jacob Wrestles)

(26) Then he said, "Let me go, for the day has broken." But Jacob said, "I will

not let you go unless you bless me."

 

Genesis 41 (Glory to God)

(16) Joseph answered Pharaoh, "It is not in me; God will give Pharaoh a

favorable answer."

 

Genesis 50 (Evil or Good)

(19) But Joseph said to them, "Do not fear, for am I in the place of God? (20) As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to

bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.
