ABOUT THE KID BEST FRIEND AWARD Each year, KID commemorates its progress, honors the memory of Danny Keysar and other victims of unsafe children’s products, and highlights the contributions of our Best Friends —who have helped keep children safe.

This year we are excited to be honoring KID founders, LINDA GINZEL and BOAZ KEYSAR.

Linda and Boaz have spent the last two decades helping to revolutionize the landscape of children’s product safety. Theirs is the story of two heartbroken parents who fought with determination to keep other families from suffering the same loss.

In 1998, 16-month-old Daniel died at his licensed childcare facility when a portable crib collapsed, trapping his neck in the “V” of its folded rails. Later, Danny’s parents dis-covered that the crib had been recalled in 1993 and Danny was the crib’s 5th victim.

Linda and Boaz mobilized their grief into action. They founded KID in an effort to improve product safety and help other parents protect their children.

KID is proud to honor Linda and Boaz for their 20 years of activism and dedication.
