Generational Equity Tour Sept. 25 – Oct. 31 | Tour Summary & Recap About the Tour: The “Generational Equity Tour” was a fiveweek, crosscountry series of events to educate and engage the millennial generation on our economic future. Through daytime engagement activities, documentary screenings, keynote presentations and panel discussions, the tour explained how the trajectory of the federal budget threatens the American Dream for today’s young people and future generations. The tour built grassroots support for the INFORM Act, a bipartisan budget reform championed by TCKB. Outcomes, by the numbers: 10,000 +: Interactions with millennials and materials handed out 71: Partner organizations, including local College Democrats & Republicans 6,000 +: Miles driven between California, Michigan, Florida and Washington, DC 20: Events organized at colleges & young professional communities, including: 2,300 +: Total attendees at evening events along the tour 40 +: Local and regional TV, radio & print media hits 1,500 +: New supporters for The Can Kicks Back campaign 800 +: Tins cans with messages collected from young people Keynote speakers along the tour included: Allen Boyd –– Former U.S. Representative (DFL) Geoffrey Canada –– President & CEO, Harlem Children’s Zone Stanley Druckenmiller –– Philanthropist & former President of Duquesne Capital Bill Novelli –– Former CEO of AARP Isabel Sawhill –– Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institution Hon.
