Programmer Bram Cohen, a former University at Buffalo graduate student in Computer Science, designed X in April 2001 and released the first available version on 2 July 2001, and the final version in 2008. The protocol X is used to distribute large amounts of data over the Internet. As of February 2013, X was responsible for 3.35% of all worldwide bandwidth.

Y has been in active development since its first release in 2005. Although originally developed by Ludvig Strigeus, since December 7, 2006, the code is owned and maintained by X, Inc. Its name refers to the program’s small memory footprint: the program was designed to use minimal computer resources while offering functionality comparable to larger programs. All versions of Y have been written in C++.1

The earliest surviving record of X observation dates from 364 BC, based on comments by Chinese astronomer Gan De in a star catalogue. By 28 BC, Chinese astronomers were regularly recording them in official imperial records. The first clear mention of it in Western literature, around 300 BC, was by the ancient Greek scholar Theophrastus, student of Plato and Aristotle and successor to the latter. A more recent observation was made on 17 March 807 AD by the Benedictine monk Adelmus however, he incorrectly concluded he was observing a transit of Mercury. Many later observations were also misinterpreted as planetary transits, until Galileo gave the correct explanation in 1612.

Dadaria is one of various types of folk-songs or field-songs of Chhattisgarh. These songs were very popular and were sung by village men or women while harvesting in paddy fields or during leisure. A popular version of a famous Dadaria folk song was incorporated into a popular Hindi song. The narrative of the song depict a tyrannical mother in law, a tittering sister-in-law and a pacifying brother-in-law, and how, despite all the goods and the bads, the newly wed girl loves her husband’s home, which she compares to a flower. Which song?

Although E. L. Thorndike developed early X, Frederick J. Kelly was the first to use such items as part of a large scale assessment. While Director of the Training School at Kansas State Normal School (now Emporia State University) in 1915, he developed and administered the Kansas Silent Reading Test. Soon after, Kelly became the third Dean of the College of Education at the University of Kansas. The first large scale assessment using only Xs was the Army Alpha, used to assess the intelligence and more specifically the aptitudes of World War I military recruits.

In the early 70's when television advertising was unsophisticated and very much in its teenage years, the Parker Pen Company came out with one of the most discussed ads of its time. This simple ad showed a hand using a Parker Pen to write the above 'mathematical' formula on a piece of paper.

The ad generated a lot of talk among the scientific community as to what the formula would have meant. The result? Parker's letterbox was filled with queries from  chemists, mathematicians and physicists all asking for the meaning of the formula, as they could not figure it out.

What this formula was about??

The origins of the phrase lie in the times when the Khalsa were formed, they would cross canals and attack Mughal camps in a blitzkrieg attack and then just as they came would retreat leaving the enemy helpless. The sport of tent pegging also evolved from this camp raiding where the riders would remove the pegs of the tents trapping the occupants under, what then used to be a very heavy fabric. While escaping back to their base the Khalsa warriors would dismantle any temporary bridges constructed by them to prevent the Mughals from chasing them and sometimes to prevent the enemy from escaping. What phrase is being talked about?

In essence, X is a tribute to native genius, and lateral thinking. It means "can do." It means where there's a will, there's a way.

X is also a locally-made motor vehicle used in small villages as a means of low cost transportation in rural India. X literally means an improvised arrangement or work-around, which has to be used because of lack of resources.

X can mean an innovative fix, sometimes pejoratively used for solutions that bend rules, or a resource that can be used as such or a person who can solve a vexatious issue. It is used as much for enterprising street mechanics as for political fixers.

This is how Samosapedia defines X . What is X here ?

A geographical indication (GI) is a name or sign used on certain products which corresponds to a specific geographical location.

In 2009, an application was submitted before the Geographical Indication Registry seeking the GI tag for ‘X’ by a temple trust. They claimed that the growing demand for ‘X’ had resulted in hawkers preparing and selling the item at their own premises under the name of 'X'.

However locals argued that GIs are meant to benefit a community of local producers and everyone from that place should have the right to use GI on 'X', as long as their product geographically originates from that place and has the same delicacy and features attributable to the product that is prepared by the temple trust.

Finally 'X' got GI tag which entitles only the temple trust to make or sell it. Identify X and the temple
