MethodologyOur methodology, typical from International House, is really practical and requires extensive use ofthe language in the classes. For example, following a grammar lesson students are required to applywhat they have learned to a practical, real-world situation. The exercises at first are very controlled, and thenare practised more freely so students incorporate the new structures into their speech, while gradually addingnew vocabulary.

General CoursesGENERAL SPANISH COURSESGeneral intensive Spanish courses focus on communication and integration of reading, listening, writing,presentation and interaction. These courses use real context and activities.

The lessons run from Monday to Friday. 1 lesson = 45 minutes.

1. INT 20: 20 intensive lessons per week in a small group of 4 – 12 students per class.

2. INT 20+5: 20 lessons a week in a small group + 1 individual lesson daily to suit your needs.

3. INT 20+10: 20 lessons a week in a small group + 2 individual lessons daily for maximum immersion.

4. INT 30: 20 lessons a week in a small group + 10 weekly lessons in a mini-group (3 to 8 students); intensiveconversational practice on themes such as culture and civilization, and practice of other skills (listening, presentation,reading). This course is offered between June 18 and September 28.

5. DELE: A 6 week course, although students are admitted for fewer weeks, to prepare the 3 levels of Instituto Cervantes(Inicial, Intermedio, Superior). INT 20 + 10 weekly preparation classes specifically for the exam. We evaluate yourlevel in the first week of your stay in San Sebastian and here you’ll take the exam at the level most appropriate foryou. The price of the course does not include the exam fees.

Starting dates for DELE: April 02, July 16 and October 15 for the 6 weeks course.Exam dates: May 11, August 24 and November 16.

SUMMER SUPLEMENT: From July 02 to September 28 there is a 35 € per week addition on all the afore mentionedprices.

WINTER DISCOUNT: From January 08 to February 23 and from November 05 to December 21 there is a discountof 20 € per week.

6. JSC - Junior Summer Course: For students between 14 and 17 years, this summer program (from June 4 to August17) includes the language course and the activities.Course: 5 classes daily from Monday to Friday with 4-12 students per class.Activities: 3 half day activities a week, and a full day excursion every Saturday, all expenses included. The monitorof the school is responsible for every student. He acts as a link between teachers, students, and families.Full board with selected families. A specific JSC brochure is available upon request.

Price: 280 € per week + 50 € registration fee.Starting Dates: Juniors can start on any Monday between June 04 and August 17, but total beginners may only beginon July 02 and August 06.

07. IND Individual Courses: Individual courses to suit the specific needs of the student. 20, 30 or 40 classes a week.Also available for 2, 3, or 4 students of a similar level who wish to take the classes together.

COURSES for the business world8. WE - Work Experience: 13 weeks of intensive Spanish study followed by 13 (or 26) weeks

of working experience in a local business. During the course the student will receive specifictutorials in order to review his/her CV and presentation letter, prepare him/her for job interviews,and gain an insight of Spanish companies and work situations. The school will find the workplacement and carry out follow up meetings.

Prices: 2.410 € (6 months) or 2.995 € (9 months) + 50 € registration fee.Starting Dates: January 08, February 05, March 05, June 04, July 02, August 07, October 01,November05, December 03.

9. BS - Business Spanish: The Int 20+5 and the Int 20+10 can be used to prepare the BusinessSpanish exam organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Madrid. This exam can be taken atour school at the end of the course, any Friday. Minimum stay 2 weeks.

Prices and Starting Dates: like INT 20+5 and INT 20+10 courses.Exam fee, 125 €.

10. EXEC - Executive Crash Course: A personal course consisting of 40 one-to-one lessonsplus materials plus a meal a day with the teacher. All meals included. This course can begin onany Monday.Price: 1.410 € / week + 50 € registration fee.Starting Dates: Any Monday.

COURSES for teachers11. MC - Methodology and Culture: For non-native teachers, 60 classes in 2 weeks to review

themes such as Spanish culture and civilization, as well as getting an update on new methodologies.Price: 450 € + 50 € Registration fee.Starting Dates: April 30, July 16, July 30, August 13, October 15.

12. TT - Teacher Training Course: The specialty of International House. 3 weeks, 105 hours.60 hours of theory (methodology, linguistic analysis, linguistic skills) and 45 hours of teachingpractice (teach, analyze and prepare classes with the help of a tutor). For native speakers orat B2+ level minimum.

Price: 950 € per week + 50 € registration fee.Starting Dates: March 05, June 25, October 08.

13. GROUP Programmes: If you want to organize a trip to bring your students, please ask for abudget. We will organize a course and arrange all lodging at your convenience, and accordingto your needs and preferences. We can also arrange a private activities program and airporttransfer if you so require.

OTHER COURSES14. + SURFING: The INT 20 + One hour a day surfing lesson, Monday to Friday. Maximum 6

students with the monitor. All materials are provided (board, wetsuit, insurance, hot showerin the winter)

Price: The INT 20 course price + 80 € / week.Starting Dates: Any Monday.

15. 50+: Designed for those over the age of 50 wishing to combine learning a language withcultural, gastronomic activities... This is their course. It runs for 2 weeks. Morning INT 20classes from Monday to Friday. Afternoons are for leisure activities: wine tasting, museumsvisits, etc. Everything mature students could need to enjoy their Spanish course.

Private Apartments

Residence (july only)We have discovered a delightful residence in the center of San Sebastian, only 5 minutes walk from the beach and 15minutes from the school, offering various accommodation options, all with Full Board.

Conditions of Accommodation- Accommodation is valid from Sunday at 14:00 until Saturday morning at 12:00. The prices indicated arefor this period. If for scheduling reasons you need extra days, please let us know as soon as possible.- Shared Apartments: a breakage deposit of 150 € (charged at credit card) will be required upon arrival, and will bereturned at the end of you stay if no damage has occurred.- The accommodation includes sheets, but students are required to bring their own towels.- Our selection of accommodation is within a short distance from the school. In general accommodation is5 to 30 minutes from the school, walking or with public transport.- Students who are not coming alone can rent double rooms. Indicate the name of your companion onthe application form.- High season for apartments: June 03 - September 30.

Transfer and Parking ServicesUpon request we can organise a private arrival transfer service from nearby airports (San Sebastian, Bilbao,Biarritz) or train stations (Irun or Hendaya) to San Sebastian for individuals or groups. Send us your flightnumber, airport, and day and time of your arrival 7 or more days in advance. This service takes studentsdirectly to their place of residence.

Bilbao airport - San Sebastian costs 11 € using public transport and offers good connections. Please checkwww.pesa.net for exact timetables.

We have 3 PARKING places available for rent. Price: 30 € per week.
