The University of Kerala has established ten centers for Teacher Education to offer the B.Ed. Course under its direct control andsupervision with the approval of the University of Kerala as part of its general policy to initiate the steps to rise the Education as wellas to accommodate the large number of highly qualiᤫed candidates who seek admission to B.Ed. course of other states and within
the states and who are often forced to enter Teacher Education Centers in the other states in carrying high ᤫnancial expenditure andwhere the qualities of education is not assured. It is the proud privilege of the Syndicate of the University of Kerala to translate thescheme into reality and to present the prestigious centers to the discerning and enlightened public of Kerala as a well-conceived
measure which is a signiᤫcant step into endeavors to maintain and improve standards in higher education in general andprofessional education in particular. The KUCTE Anchal is one of the ten prestigious institution established by the University in the
Eastern hilly region of Kollam District, Kerala State. The college which was originally started functioning in 1994 at Punalur wasshifted to Anchal in 1998 in view of better facilities. Since then it has been functioning in its own campus at Government H.S.S,
Anchal west.

Gokulam Medical College Trivandrum with a seminar presentation about “Is AIDS different to HIV?” Teacher EffectivenessSmt.Sulabha.L.S, Vice Principal from Kaviyattu College of Education presented the theme paper in the seminar ‘TeacherEffectiveness on 16th February 2016 covering all the qualities for an effective teacher. Modern Techniques In TeachingSri.Pradeep Kannanmcode, National Best Teacher Award Winner , presented the theme paper in the seminar on 25thJanuary 2016 covering all modern trends and techniques used in teaching learning process . He made the session
effective and informative by denoting all most all techniques and trends with appropriate examples. Grading SystemDr.Vijaya kumar, Senior Lecturer, DIET, Kottarakara presented the theme paper in the seminar ‘ Grading System applied in
School Curriculum’ on 25th January 2016 . His interactive method was highly appreciated by the students and staff. GlobalClimate Change In connection with World Environment Day, a seminar on ‘Global Climate Change’ was conducted by
Dr.Kala Devi, Assistant Professor, St.Johns College Anchal on 5th June 2016 in the college auditorium. WomenEmpowerment Women’s Day celebration were arranged on 10th March 2016 in our college auditorium with valuable
messages. The function was inaugurated by Adv Sheena Beegum (A P P, Punalur Court ) with a seminar presentationabout Women Empowerment. Anti Narcotism Anti Narcotic celebration were arranged on 10th March 2016 in our college
auditorium with valuable messages. The function was inaugurated by Rahul Eswar (Cine Artist) with a seminarpresentation about Anti Narcotism. Human Rights Day: In connection with Human Rights Day, a National Seminar on ‘Oneday Basic Programme on Human Rights’ was conducted by Sri.A.K.Gopakumar, Additional District Judge, Kollam on 27h
August 2016 in the college auditorium.

presentation with hands on experiences were highly appreciated by all the participants. Micro - Teaching Focusing on theimportance of micro-teaching in the B.Ed curriculum, a workshop was arranged for the students under the guidance ofDr.D.Babukuttan Senior Grade Lecturerl, DIET, Kottararakkara on 15th March 2016 Communication Skill Activity oriented
Communication Skill programme was conducted by Sri.Jomon Joseph, Professional Trainer, Mundakkayam on 13th April2016 in the college auditorium. The students enjoyed the workshop by making it as a part of their life.
