Custom Duties
Custom duties are called as tariffs on
merchandise imports. Reduction in custom duties
has given a great advantage to developing
countries. Locally-produced goods which are
imported are giving a price benefit over similar
goods involving custom duties.
Trade and Investment
Certain investment measures can restrict and
distort trade. Developing countries want to
choose investment promotion policies to fulfill
their developmental needs. As the developing
economies are constantly increasing their
contribution in the world trade, it is important to
upgrade the existing policies to grounds that
would be beneficial for all trade partners
involved.
