BOP Testing with ISOL-8 Pump (Included in Gemini)

CONFIDENTIAL

• Testing performed during 2015 at BOP supplier in Houston.

• Demonstrated ISOL-8 could close, shear and seal a BOP in under

45-seconds, per API-53.

• A Schilling UHD3 ROV system was used to show that the ROV is

capable of providing all power necessary.

• For validation purposes, cuts were made using both the ISOL-8

pump and the facility’s pump and accumulator bank.

• Tests were performed solely using one power source or the other,

never both combined.

• Gemini features the ISOL-8 pump used to perform these tests.

Gemini Integrated BOP Control/Monitoring

• Section A is the shear contacting the casing.

The pressure builds as it crushes the tubular.

• Point B is the initiation of shear failure.

• Point C is the separation of the casing.

• Point D is the shear approaching the end of

travel (note: small pressure increase as it

engages the locks).

• When the volume delivered reaches the total

volume required (third grid line) there is a rapid

rise to maximum pressure as it hits the hard

stops and seals (D - E).

• Point E indicates the volume delivered holds

steady (no leak in the actuation circuit).
