Kym’s comment
Dear families & friends Christmas Carols Thank you everyone for coming along and joining in the festivi-ties! It was a very happy evening and it was great to see so many families enjoying themselves! I was very proud and de-lighted with the way in which all our children performed so confidently and enthusiastically. Thank you to the PFA team for organising the Sausage Sizzle and to the many families who supported the Christmas raffle.
Classes 2016 The 2016 classes met this week and spent a session together. I am not sure who was more excited about the 2016 school year - the students or the teachers! This session is part of the intensive internal transition program we have at Gembrook. The 2016 school year promises to be an exciting year!

Farewell Farewell to Pam Kocovski. Pam has done a brilliant job as part of the intervention team assisting with reading and writing. Farewell to Glenn. Glenn has been our PE trainee for the last two years. He has a full time position now that he has complet-ed his studies. Farewell to Melissa Szabo. Melissa has been an education support team member for the last three years. She has successfully completed her Childhood Early Year’s studies and has gained a full time ongoing position at an early child-hood centre. Farewell Nick Cowan. Nick has been a terrific PE teacher and we wish him well as he continues at another school. I appreciate the tremendous contribution from these staff members and wish them well.
Hayley Tregidga will return for the first few weeks of the school year and assist with the start of year assessment program and then commence maternity leave.
The Year Book The Year book for 2015 will be sent home this week. I am sure that you and your family will enjoy looking through it and talk-ing about the many events, activities and programs we have experienced this year. It will be a great memento of the 2015 school year at Gembrook Primary School!
Year 6 Graduation Tonight our Year 6 students will be celebrating their graduation from primary school to secondary college. Everyone is looking forward to this special and significant event. Many of our teachers have been involved with these wonderful young peo-ple as they have progressed through their years of schooling at Gembrook. All of them have been outstanding school leaders and it is very exciting and pleasing to see that they are well prepared for their next step in schooling. We wish them all the very best for their future success at secondary school.
