There are several possibilities to protect us and people close to us, sanitize or disinfect hands are among them.

Sanitizing products are used to clean the skin through a chemical or mechanical action, reducing the probability that pathogenic microorganisms survive. The use of the term sanitizing refers to its main function, cleaning and is linked to the classification of the product as cosmetic according to the definition of European law. (REG (CE) 1223/2009).

Disinfectant products, on the other hand, are chemical products that act on pathogenic microorganisms, destroying them or making them harmless.These products can boast virucidal and disinfectant characteristics only if they are registered with national regulations, BRC regulations or European Biocides *.

* The cosmetic legislation does not allow to boast disinfectant properties in this category of products. Nonetheless, Gfl performs meticulous performance tests on the sanitizing products it produces.
