GEAS 312 DYNAMICS OF RIGID BODIES – This course studies the displacement, velocity

and acceleration of particles of rigid bodies with combined translation and rotation. It will also

study reaction and inertia forces and mass and polar moments of inertia, the analysis byequations of motion, force-acceleration, work-energy, and impulse-momentum. Topic also

includes conservative and non-conservative forces and moments, free and forced vibrations,

natural frequency, and fundamentals of damping and vibration isolation.
