the creatives
Product Design
We are surrounded by products made
from woods, metals and plastics that
make our lives easier in some way.
Products like small furniture items,
storage units, lighting and decorative
items all use combinations of these
materials.
The Product Design course is your
chance to develop creative designs
that produce imaginative products.
The designs are then made using new
manufacturing skills and processes.
PRODUCT DESIGN
You will learn about;
materials - woods, metals and plastics
processes – used to shape and join the materials in industry and in school, including laser cutting, injection moulding, laminating, wood joints, decorative wood and plastic techniques and soldering
famous product designers
designing skills – drawing styles, technical drawings, CAD, presentation, development and sketching
