The importance of Controlled Assessment
Controlled Assessment is the term
used for the element of GCSE
exams that has replaced
coursework.
Work is produced under controlled
conditions similar to exam
conditions.
Work needs to be completed on the
dates listed.
If students miss these sessions it is
possible that they will receive 0
marks for that part of their GCSE.

It is important that all students have their own calculator and bring it to each lessons to ensure they are familiar with using it, especially as there will now be 2 calculator exams.
The Maths faculty sell calculators at a discounted rate of £5.50. Students can collect these from the Maths office at break or lunch.
