SCHOOL SPIRIT - PAJAMA DAYGarden Gates Student Council issponsoring Pajama Day tomorrow,December 16th. Students can come toschool in pajama attire such as longsleeve pajama tops and bottoms orsweats. They may also bring slippers towear in the classroom if approved by theirteacher, but they must also bring theirshoes. We are looking for a comfortableand cozy day!
PHONE NUMBER?Do Your Children Know Their Home PhoneNumbers?... Almost every afternoon, students comeinto the office to call home, but cant do it without ourhelp because they dont know a phone number tocontact a parent or care giver. Knowing a phonenumber to contact a family member is a life skill that allour students should have. It will make them feel moreindependent, and you will feel more confident that theycan reach you in an emergency. For those too young toremember multiple numbers, we suggest that you writedown important phone numbers and have your childkeep them in his/her backpack for easy access.
COLD WEATHER REMINDERNow that the weather is getting colder, please send yourchild to school with a jacket, sweatshirt, or extra layer ofclothing. Whether at physical education, recess, or lunch, students have outdoor activities unless it is unusuallycold, windy, or rainy. Please remember to label all
jackets, umbrellas, hats etc. This will enable items to bereturned in case of loss.
REMINDERS:For the protection of students, please remember thatstudents are not to be on the campus before 7:45 a.m.There is no adult supervision until 7:45 a.m.Please do not congregate outside of the classroomswhile school is still in session. This is very disruptive toboth the teacher and the students and could be adistraction from valuable learning time.Every Tuesday is early dismissal day. Please rememberthat all a.m. Kindergarten students are dismissed at 11:10a.m. and all p.m. Kindergarten students along withstudents in grades 1-5 are dismissed at 1:30. Pleaseremember to pick up your children promptly.
