A close geological relation to limestone, travertine is an enduring sedimentary rock that boasts an ironic history in both traditional and contemporary architecture.

Characterised by soft hues and pronounce pitting, this material is well suited to a broad range of practical applications.

The Gather Co collection includes colours such as silver, classic, white and walnut - all of which can be installed across commercial, residential, internal and external settings.

Bringing the natural beauty from its mineral origins, travertines versatility combined with proven durability offers a sound option for any flooring specification.

Travertine Explained

A type of limestone that is formed by settling minerals and organic matter over extended periods. Typically white or light-coloured, it is deposited from mineral springs and is pitted by holes and pockets created through bubbling carbon dioxide. These holes may be tended to during the installation of a project. Such is the diversity and longevity of travertine that it has been used to build both the Colosseum in ancient Rome and the modern-day Getty Museum in Los Angeles.



Meeting Expectations

Product Variation

Variation has been carefully considered when producing our surface collections. Colour, tone, composition, and texture are all naturally occurring characteristics of stone and will always differ from piece to piece. Variation may also result in significant inconsistencies when delivered product is compared to any samples presented.

That said, variation is in no way considered a material defect. It’s precisely what makes stone so uniquely beautiful.

Please be sure to seriously consider these inherent characteristics whenever assessing the suitability of any Gather Co surface.
