What is Cross-curricularLearning?Cross-curricular, Literature and International Cultural Knowledge

Making Things Better for You!

The Cross-curricular Approach is the teaching of a subject such as geography, science, or history through English to learners whose

first language is not English. It is also know as ‘Content-based Learning’ or ‘CLIL’. It is closely related to ‘Immersion’ teaching and

belongs firmly in the tradition of the strong form of the ‘Communicative Approach’.
