The will hide/show the results list.

Sync

Sync will synchronize the information fields on all the parcel display windows so that they are in

line with each other when scrolled.

Sync/Un‐sync

The sync/un‐sync tool will select sync in all of the parcel information windows, so that you do

not have to click the individual check boxes.

Re‐organizeWindowstoMatchList

If you changed the order of the results list by sorting by a particular field, you can re‐organize

the parcel information windows to match the new order of the list.

PrintList

This will create a printable list of the results. The results can be printed in both landscape and

portrait view using your browsers print menu and page set‐up settings.

ExportListtoCSV

To export the results list, click on the CSV tool that will generate a CSV file that you can save or

use in Notepad or MS Excel.

The header displays the field names for the results list. If you click on any one of the field names it will

sort the results in ascending order by that field, if you click on it a second time it will sort it descending.

If the results are sorted by a field, the field name will display in a different color. The results list

table can be hidden, but it cannot be resized. This is to allow space below for the Parcel Information

Window.

The information available in the results list is from the Gaston County Tax Department records and

includes:

Parcel #: A unique six (6) digit number that identifies a tax parcel.

Current Owner 1: The current listed tax owner on record.

Current Owner 2: The current listed tax owner on record.

Address: The house number and/or street name of the physical address of the property.

Deed Book: The recorded deed book from the Register of Deeds or an estate file year.

Deed Page: The recorded deed page from the Register of Deeds or an estate file number.

Plat Book: The recorded survey book from the Register of Deeds.

Plat Page: The recorded survey page from the Register of Deeds.

Sales Amount: The Revenue Stamp/Excise Tax divided in half multiplied by 1000 in US Dollars.

Deed Recording Date: The date of the recorded instrument or the date of death.

Year Built: The construction year or certificate of occupancy year for the primary structure.

Square Footage: The heated square footage of the primary structure.

Bedrooms: The number of bedrooms in the main structure.

Bathrooms: The number of bathrooms in the main structure.

Acreage: The calculated taxable acreage.

District Code: The tax district number.

Taxable Value: The total assessed (billable) value of land and improvements.

Property Record Card: The link to the PDF document of the property record.

Click on the hyperlink in the last column of the results list will open a property record card in PDF

format. If no hyperlink is available, a property record card is not currently available. You will also find a

link to the property record card at the top of the Parcel Information Window (Property Record Card /

Card Not Available). If you have a question about a property record card please contact the Tax

Assessor’s office at 704‐866‐3145.

To view the tax appraisal, elections and public safety data for a given parcel, click the check box in

the Show Parcel? column. You may click one or multiple. To view all of the parcels select the check box

in the column heading. To resize the window, click and drag the black area at the bottom of the window.

StructurePictureTo view a larger picture, click on the image in the Parcel Information Window.

ViewMapTo view a map for an individual parcel click on the Parcel # in either the results list or in the first

row of the Parcel Information Window. This will direct you to the Gaston County GIS mapping

website and zoom to the parcel.
