PROJECT OVERVIEW AND CHALLENGES
Enerflex was awarded a contract to complete a major overhaul on two offshore compressor packages in Sarawak, Malaysia. Enerflex’s key deliverable was to reduce the gas-to-gas time and align with a planned oil field shutdown. This required a great deal of planning and coordination with over 200 personnel involved.

ENERFLEX SOLUTION
Enerflex managed the project from start to finish, including the supply, logistics, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation services required to complete the overhauls. Enerflex supported the local Sarawak service crew with a team of eight highly skilled and certified offshore engine and compression overhaul specialists sourced from the Company’s many service centers in the region.
The overhaul was completed on schedule without any incidents. After the production operator re-introduced gas to the field, Enerflex completed all compression equipment commissioning services including a 72-hour reliability test.
The customer provided formal acknowledgement that this planned outage was executed according to plan while minimizing the gas-to-gas production time. Enerflex continues to provide additional offshore services to this customer including working with their local teams to identify further efficiency gains.
