JUNIOR
BOY’S & GIRL’S:
Junior boys and girls have a great opportunity to participate in Boy's and Girl's state this sum-mer. The American Le-gion sponsors this pro-gram in which the student spends a week on a Kan-sas college campus along with other juniors from
across the state. During this week, students learn how state government op-erates by creating a mock government and running
for office. The boys and girls that attend gain a lot of knowledge, leader-ship skills and friend-ships from across the state. This also looks great on a resume when applying for scholarships. If you are interested, please stop by the coun-seling office to sign up for consideration. A panel of teachers will select the final candidates. If you have questions, please contact Mrs. McIntire
in the counseling office. Deadline to sign up is March 13th.
SENIORS:
Any senior planning to attend JCCC in the fall is eligible to apply for a tuition plus books scholarship. One senior from each public/private school in Johnson County will be select-ed. To be eligible, students must complete the JCCC 2014-15 JCCC scholarship applica-tion and be fully admitted to the college. Students can apply on line at http://www.jccc.edu/financialaid/scholarships/institutional-scholarships/scholarship-application-instructions.html The deadline
to apply is May 1st.
Field Box Ticket ($40 value).
In addition to purchasing the vouchers at the GEHS of-fice, at a table outside the varsity basketball games, or contacting a GEHS baseball player you can order the tick-ets online. If you know spe-cifically what game you would like to attend you may use this link to purchase as many tickets as you would like for
ROYALS AND BLAZERS BASEBALL:
GEHS is selling Royals Ticket Vouchers for the 2014 baseball season. The proceeds from this sale will benefit the GEHS baseball program. A voucher will cost $20 and can be redeemed at a Roy-als ticket window for a
a n y a v a i l a b l e games. www.royals.com/hsbaseball click on Gard-ner Edgerton and the list of available games will come up. There is a con-venience fee associated with ordering online.
