HISTORICAL RESULT... Thursday’s 11-10 Big East Semifinal victory over Georgetown provided two firsts for the Huskies. It marked Connecticut’s first win over the Hoyas in the 17-game series, and it was the first Big East Tournament victory in program history. UConn entered this year’s postseason with an 0-2 mark in Big East Tournament play after reaching it for the first time 2013.

ROUND TWO... This weekend will be the second meeting between the Huskies and the Gators in the last 15 days. Connecticut rallied from a seven-goal halftime deficit to knock off then No.8 ranked Florida, 11-10, back on Apr. 18 behind four goals from Finkelston. The win marked the first victory over a ranked opponent this season for the Huskies, who ended the match on a 10-2 run.

FRESHMEN FIREPOWER... UConn freshmen standouts Grace Nolan and Kelsey Catalano have enjoyed tremendous rookie campains on the offensive end. The two both reached 20 goals in 2015, and their 48 combined goals are 35 more than Connecticut’s entire freshmen class from last season. Nolan’s 20 assists are the most ever for a UConn freshman.

UCONN OFFENSE IN THE RECORD BOOKS... The 2015 UConn offense has been historically good, setting multiple program records. Connecticut’s 110 assists and 316 points both stand as the top mark all-time, and the Huskies are six scores away from the program record of 212 goals.

COMING UP CLUTCH... After dropping their first four one-goal games of the season, the Huskies have responded by picking up victories in each of their last matches games decided by one score. Both wins have come over the last two weeks by a result of 11-10 at home.
