F is 3 yards deep behind the Q

NOTE: There is no JACK left.

Offensive line splits are one foot apart.The OGs and OTs have their toes lined up at the heels of the OC.

OFFENSIVE LINE BLOCKING

ZONE BLOCKING

In zone blocking, we will use the tag ZONE left or ZONE right.

This is ZONE right. The OGs are covered by D-Linemen. Job is to stephard inside and get to the second level. The OC and OT will step down tothe down linemen to their call side.

The OGs are uncovered with no D-Linemen over them. Job is to step hardinside and get to the down linemen covered infront of their team mates.The OC and OT will step down to the next level.

CROSS BLOCKING

CROSS block is a very simple block. The exchange is between the OC

and the front side OG.

Blocking responsibilities:

OC- block the first down linemen to the front side

Front side OG- drop step and look for the first d-line men after the OCto block

Front side OT- Man On or Man away block (basic pass blocking)

Back side OG- First linebacker inside

Back side OT- First linebacker inside

The OC still has to make his line calls whether or not we are zone blocking.

PASS BLOCKING

This is called RED pass blocking call. The O-linemen will follow the rule.

1. MAN ON, block the man directly in front of you.2. MAN AWAY, if the no man is on you, block the man directly across

from you on the call side.

This is called BLUE pass blocking, same as RED but flipped.

This is called BROWN pass blocking. The O-linemen will step hard to theirright and block the first man to the call side.

This is called BLACK pass blocking, same as BROWN but flipped.

NUMBERING & ASSIGNMENTS

We number the gaps, with the exception of the OC, he has the tag numberzero. When calling seven or eight, we run wide of the box.

Calling a motion tag, C player is always mo while the F and H players are

away . The C player will always motion to the Q. The F player willalways motion to the C player side; the H player will motion away from theC player. When the H player is split out, we can call motion like the Cplayer with saying H-mo to indicate he is the player in motion .

CALLING PLAYS

When calling plays, we use formations, motions, and tags (which could benumbers or assignments or both). The play call begins with the formation,then the motion (if it is called), and the tags (the O-line call will be the finaltag).

EXAMPLE:

QUEEN----MO----F3----BASIC

Formation is QUEEN, MO is for the C player, F3 tells the F player isrunning at 3 with the ball (player tag next to the number gets the ball) andBASIC call is the O-line blocking assignment.
