Welcome to GallipoliFrom sun-drenched beaches and dazzling blue seas to ancient Roman relics and forgotten civilisations, no landscape is more beautiful, no history is more compelling than that of the Mediterranean. It is for this reason that I am delighted to personally host APT’s Ancient Mediterranean Luxury Cruise in 2015, offering you the chance to explore the very best of this region as you commemorate the 100th anniversary of Gallipoli.

Aboard a brand new, privately chartered luxury small ship, Le Soléal, you’ll visit the most idyllic ports in five countries – Turkey, Greece, Croatia, Montenegro and Italy. Specially selected for its chic

atmosphere, distinctive European elegance and refined French-influenced cuisine, a journey aboard this extraordinary vessel offers an intimate discovery and unparalleled comfort. APT’s private charter of Le Soléal will leave you wanting for nothing, as all meals, drinks, shore excursions, tipping and taxes have been included for your pleasure.

On the morning of 25 April 2015, you’ll awake to the rugged landscape that faced the ANZACs and take part in the traditional Anzac Dawn Service from the comfort of your ship. Large onboard screens and a number of lectures, presentations and activities led by our expert team of war historians, including past senior military officers, ensure you will experience the true emotion of the day.

A wealth of options await when you travel with APT, allowing you to delve deeper. Perhaps extend your stay and explore Turkey or Greece; stay awhile in Venice with a two-night city stay; or add our ever-popular Magnificent Europe river cruise.

With only 118 cabins aboard, this cruise is guaranteed to sell quickly, so make sure you book early to secure your spot.

I look forward to welcoming you aboard this exciting journey.

Warm Regards,

Rob McGeary, APT Company Director

Lest We ForgetCommemorate the 100th Anniversary of the

ANZAC Landing at Gallipoli with APT.

Take the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to pay tribute to our proud

heritage, the courage of our ancestors and the Anzac spirit itself.

Their Spirit, Our HistoryPride, determination, courage, mateship.

Looking back at the events of April 1915

reminds us of the qualities of the ANZACs,

which to this day our proud nations hold so

dear. The Battle of Gallipoli, during which

around 10,000 courageous ANZACs were

killed, is a foundation of our national

identity. Anzac Day 2015 will mark exactly

100 years since the fateful dawn landing,

and there will be no more special place to

be than at Gallipoli, to honour all those who

made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

Explore the Gallipoli PeninsulaJust four days out from Anzac Day 2015,

you’ll dock at the Turkish port town of

Çanakkale and set off for nearby Gallipoli

National Park. Here, a tour will take you to

such places as Anzac Cove and Beach

Cemetery – where John Simpson, perhaps

Australia’s most famous soldier, is buried.

You’ll also visit the Chunuk Bair and Lone

Pine memorials, and enjoy some time to

contemplate the beaches that are etched

in our national history. As you explore,

your expert guide will offer great insight

into the events of almost 100 years past.

Anzac Day 2015 with APTEntry to the 2015 Anzac Day Dawn Service

is limited, and attendance passes can only

be obtained via a ballot run by Veterans’

Affairs, drawn in March, 2014*. APT have

arranged an unforgettable Anzac experience

whether your ballot entry is successful or not.

Attending the Dawn Service*APT guests fortunate enough to gain entry to

the service at the ANZAC Commemorative

Site will transfer to land by zodiacs around

dusk on April 24. On entry to the site,

you’ll then settle in for the night outside in

a secure area featuring live broadcasting

from back home. Experienced APT guides

will escort you throughout and you’ll be

given provisions, including sleeping bags

and picnic meals, to make a potentially cold

night as comfortable as possible. In the

morning, after the main Dawn Service, you’ll

have the option of walking to the Australian

Service at Lone Pine or the New Zealand

Service at Chunuk Bair, before returning by

zodiac to your ship in the afternoon.

Anzac Day Service On BoardA truly unique experience, remaining guests

will enjoy Anzac Day eve amid the luxury of

Le Soléal, anchored not far off the Gallipoli

coast. After dinner, a presentation will be

held in the ship’s theatre and at dawn the

next day, the official Anzac Day Dawn

Service will be shown live on large screens

on board. Afterwards, a private service will

be held, led by a member of your war history

team. Though it can’t be confirmed until the

day, if possible, APT will take guests without

attendance passes ashore once proceedings

have concluded and restrictions have lifted.

In which case, you’ll enjoy the chance to see

the memorials with the flags at half-mast;

the wreaths at the foot of the memorials

and the soldiers standing to attention.

Dawn on 25 April 2015, marks 100 years since the landing of the ANZACs on the Gallipoli Peninsula

A poppy wreath is a poignant symbol

morning, we will

Lest we forget...

Escorted by War Historians

With an expert team of war historians

joining you throughout the cruise,

you’ll gain a great understanding of

the Anzac landing at Gallipoli and

the events of World War I. At various

times, you’ll enjoy the opportunity to

attend interactive lectures and audio-

visual presentations in your ship’s

modern theatre (pictured). In all,

you’ll gain an incredible insight into

the history and emotion of Anzac Day.

After exploring the site and taking in the many well-preserved frescoes, return to your hotel and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. B

This afternoon, you’ll relish the chance to bathe in these amazing hot springs. Later you will set off on a locally guided tour of Hierapolis, an ancient city located on the natural springs. Thought to have

been built some time in the 2nd or 3rd century it has attracted many pilgrims over the centuries. During a tour here, you’ll visit such impressive remains as the Temple of Aphrodite, the vast Stadium, the monumental gateway, and the odeon – a semicircular auditorium. After taking in these unique sights, return to Pamukkale and enjoy the remainder of today at leisure. B

This morning will see you heading for the small port town of Galaxidi, situated on a picturesque double harbour on the Gulf of Corinth and surrounded by mountains. Be welcomed at a local Greek coffee shop and enjoy a Greek coffee as well as a loukoumia, the traditional Greek version of Turkish Delight. After free time to perhaps stroll along the waterfront, travel along the coast via Nafpaktos and across the impressive Charilaos Trikoupis Bridge – the world’s longest multi-span cable-stayed bridge. Enjoy a stunning drive through the mountains of Arcadia to the World Heritage-listed Archaeological Site of Olympia, the birthplace of the ancient Olympic Games. Take in the ruins and see structures that were built for the sports held at the games, which were originally held to honour Zeus, the god of sky and thunder in Greek mythology. The temple was dedicated by the inhabitants of Philagia, after Epicurius came to their aid during the plague. Then continue to the beautiful Epidaurus Theatre, built in the 4th century BC. Admire the world-famous acoustics of the theatre, which was built in such a way as to make standard speech – without amplification – audible to all of the 15,000 spectators. Afterwards, set out for the nearby archaeological site of Mycenae, once a mighty kingdom of ancient Greece. After a guided tour of the site, return to the Greek capital of Athens. Two Night Stay: Athens, Hotel Grande Bretagne. B

Day 28 (Wed. 13 May). Rüdesheim, Freedom of Choice, Andernach, A Royal Invitation. Arrive in Rüdesheim, and ride the Winzerexpress mini-train to your selected activity. Perhaps tour Siegfried’s Mechanical Musical Instrument Museum, home to one of Germany’s most beautiful collections of automated musical instruments. Or ride a gondola for views over the Rhine Valley. Later, re-join your ship and cruise through the Rhine Gorge on what is known as the Rhine’s most beautiful stretch. On arrival in the 2,000 year-old town of Andernach, disembark and head to Burg Namedy. Once a moated castle, Burg Namedy was built by the Hausmann Knights of Andernach in the 14th century. Today, Princess Heide von Hohenzollern has opened the doors of her home exclusively for APT guests. Enjoy free time to wander about the castle and its gardens then savour a lavish banquet in Burg Namedy’s ballroom. BLD

Day 29 (Thurs. 14 May). Cologne, Freedom of Choice. Arrive in Cologne today and enjoy a choice of included walking tours. Perhaps wander around the city and absorb its spectacular historic architecture. Alternatively, embark on a chocolate-themed walking tour of the city. Later, cruise towards the intriguing city of Amsterdam in the Netherlands. BLD

Day 30 (Fri. 15 May). Amsterdam, Freedom of Choice. In Amsterdam today, perhaps take a canal cruise and admire the passing 17th-century homes, churches and 16th-century merchant houses. Then wander through Amsterdam’s famed flower market along the banks of the canal. Alternatively, visit the Van Gogh Museum, home to the world’s largest collection of Van Gogh paintings. Another option is an excursion to the picturesque village of Zaanse Schans, famous for its traditional Dutch buildings and windmills. Tonight, enjoy a Farewell Dinner on board. Later, perhaps step out for a stroll along Amsterdam’s iconic cobbled streets, or simply relax and enjoy your final night aboard your luxurious river ship. BLD

Day 31 (Sat. 16 May). Disembark River Cruise, Depart Amsterdam. After breakfast, disembark the MS AmABellA and transfer to the airport for your onward flight. B

General Information & ConditionsThe following terms and conditions (‘booking conditions’) form the basis of your contract with Australian Pacific Touring Pty Ltd (‘APT’, ‘we’ or ‘our’). Please read them carefully as they set out your and our respective rights and obligations. By asking us to confirm your booking, we are entitled to assume that you have had the opportunity to read and have read these booking conditions, that you agree to them and that you agree to them applying to your holiday arrangements that you book with us and which we agree to make, provide or perform (as applicable) as part of our contract with you. References in these booking conditions to your ‘holiday package’ are references to the tour or cruise package you have booked with APT. References to “excursions” are references to short trips or tours included or available as part of your holiday package.Governing lawThese booking conditions are governed by the law in force in Victoria, Australia.

BEFORE YOU BOOKPrices – Deposits – Discounts – PaymentsYour booking price will be set out in this brochure unless it is varied by advertising or a special offer, or is changed after the publication date for any reason, including without limitation, to cover changes in government taxes and charges, exchange rate variations, fuel surcharges, airline charges, a force majeure event or other material increases by suppliers. Once you pay your deposit your holiday package price is guaranteed (except for any changes resulting from a force majeure event – see below). A $1,000 non-refundable deposit per person, per holiday package is required within seven days of booking confirmation. A second deposit of $4,000 is due on or before 1 June 2014. Final payment of the balance of your holiday package price is then due 100 days prior to departure unless stated in the terms of a special offer. APT reserves the right to cancel any ticket or booking or to refuse to carry any passenger where payment has not been received by APT within the specified time. All fares and charges are in Australian currency. Payment in full is required at time of booking for reservations made less than 100 days before departure from Australia or New Zealand. If APT is unable to confirm your reservation, all monies will be refunded.Travelling With MinorsChildren under the age of eight years are not permitted on tours and cruises. Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult and share their accommodation with an adult.Included in Holiday Package PriceAll coach and travel, accommodation, airfares (as indicated in individual itinerary), gratuities, airport transfers on the first and last day, sightseeing, specified excursions, meals, admissions, port charges and the services of a cruise director as stated in your itinerary. Transfers cannot be re-routed to other pick-up points or destinations. Passengers who miss the pre-booked transfers must make their own way to/from the ship/hotel at their own expense. Some holiday packages include group transfers from or in between airports/hotels/ships and vice versa. A group transfer is generally a shared transfer departing at a set time and the type of vehicle used will normally be dependent upon the size of the group. Not Included in Our Cruise and/or Tour PriceAirfares (unless stated), airport taxes, laundry, passport and visa fees, food not on the regular table d’hôte menu, excess baggage, fuel surcharges, optional excursions, access to the Anzac Dawn Service and gratuities not specified in your itinerary. Note that internet access aboard Le Soléal is not included, but may be available at additional expense.Choosing Your HolidayThe holidays contained within this brochure are for departures between 1 April 2015 and 31 May 2015. To maximise your enjoyment of your APT holiday and to ensure that it lives up to your expectations it is important that you choose the right holiday package for you. GratuitiesHave been included for all services as indicated in the itinerary on all APT Tours and Cruises and cannot be redeemed for a cash refund.HotelsHotel rooms in Europe are often smaller than those in Australia and NZ. In more remote places, hotel standards may not be quite as high as in major centres. APT endeavours to utilise the most suitable accommodation available in each destination to ensure that passengers enjoy high levels of cleanliness, comfort and service. Hotel rooms are generally not available for check-in before 3 pm and require check-out by 10 am.

Twin or Double RoomsAccommodation in all hotels, regardless of the rating, is in standard rooms (sometimes named superior/deluxe) based on twins or doubles unless otherwise stated.Solo TravellersA limited number of single rooms/suites/cabins may be available by request at time of booking your cruise/holiday package. Single rooms/suites/cabins are not available on certain cruises. Single rooms/suites/cabins are usually smaller than standard twin or double rooms and often only have one single bed. Cruising – Cabin/Suite/Stateroom Selection APT will make every effort to assign specific cabin numbers or locations on the ship if requested. If this is not possible, APT reserves the right to make changes to cabin assignment, within the category booked, without prior notice. For more detailed services please refer to www.aptouring.com.Passengers Needing Special Assistance APT welcomes passengers with disabilities or special needs provided they are accompanied by a companion capable of providing all necessary assistance. Any disability or medical condition requiring special attention must be reported to APT at the time of booking. A Health, Fitness & Mobility Assessment Form can be requested at the time of making your reservation. APT will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the special needs of disabled or mobility impaired passengers, but is not responsible for any denial of services by carriers, hotels, trains, restaurants or other independent suppliers, or for any additional associated expenses. Coaches and minibuses are not equipped with wheelchair ramps. Whilst elevators are available to most decks, cabin doors and restrooms on river cruise ships are not wide enough to allow access by standard wheelchairs. The Le Soléal has a limited number of cabins with disabled facilities. Wheelchairs and walkers cannot be carried on coaches, due to space limitations. For safety reasons, passengers in wheelchairs cannot be carried on ramps in ports where the river cruise ship is at anchor. APT is unable to provide individual assistance to any passenger for walking, dining, boarding or alighting coaches or other transportation vehicles or other personal needs. Health & Fitness A good level of fitness and health is required to participate on APT’s holiday packages. In some destinations there are extensive sightseeing excursions by foot and which can include climbing of stairs and uneven surfaces. Mobility is needed boarding or alighting coaches, river cruise ships and trains. We recommend a visit to the doctor and dentist before travelling to overseas destinations. It is your responsibility to advise APT of any pre-existing medical conditions that may affect the normal conduct of a holiday package and the enjoyment of other passengers. Visa & Passports All passengers must have a valid passport that is valid for at least six months after the holiday package return date. Passengers must consult with the appropriate consulates to ensure that they have any applicable visas for countries included in the holiday package prior to departure. Passengers are solely responsible for meeting necessary passport and visa entry requirements and paying all associated costs. APT is not responsible for delays or missed portions of the holiday package resulting from incorrect travel documents or visas. Shore Excursions The timing of the shore excursions on all river cruise ship holiday packages may differ slightly for each package. The published times are a guide only and are subject to change without notice. It is impossible for large coaches to be used for some city sightseeing excursions and many towns and cities will be visited by way of walking tours. For river cruising, clients must be able to climb ramps to embark or disembark river or ocean cruise ships. Depending on river levels, these may have a number of steep steps. Ocean Cruising clients will be required to board zodiacs to undertake shore excursions. Freedom of Choice & Signature Experiences Minimum and maximum group numbers apply on some Freedom of Choice or Signature Experience excursions. If your first choice of Freedom of Choice is unavailable you may be asked to choose an alternative. In Vienna, substitute touring may be required when the Spanish riding school is not in operation. Public Holidays & Festivals Virtually all countries have public holidays, religious or otherwise. The festivities may temporarily disrupt your holiday and some religious holidays may result in a reduction of facilities and entertainment.

BOOKING & PAYING FOR YOUR HOLIDAYAirfaresAir travel is arranged with independent airlines. APT will arrange air travel as advertised in connection with your holiday package. All airfares are subject to flight and booking class availability. Airfares will be booked and ticketed upon receipt of your deposit to avoid price or tax increases. Airport taxes vary for each departure point and routing of airline. Airline schedules are subject to change without notice. Once air

tickets are issued, airline amendment and/or cancellation fees apply and, in some cases, are non-refundable. Name changes and voluntary date and schedule changes will incur fees. APT is not liable for delays or disruptions of air travel. Once tickets are issued APT will have no other liability and will not be responsible for refunding the cost of any services booked in conjunction with the flights.Out of Date Range FlightsIf airlines have not published their schedule at the time this brochure was printed or at the time of booking, APT will estimate the cost of airfares connected with your holiday package. When the airline releases flight inventory and airfares, APT will confirm seats and pricing to you by sending you an updated invoice. Once flights have been confirmed by you and payment has been received APT will issue your ticket/s. Travel InsuranceTravel Insurance is not included in your holiday package. For your protection we strongly recommend that you purchase comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking that includes (without limitation) coverage for medical expenses, damage or loss of luggage, cruise and land content and airfare charges that may occur due to cancellation, disruption, loss of deposit or strikes. Travel Information & DocumentsAfter booking you will receive an invoice with all important information relevant to your holiday package. We strongly recommend you check the details carefully and read the included information. Please ensure that you check your flight timings carefully on your tickets, particularly early am departures. Approximately 21 days before departure you will receive your eticket together with your final itinerary. Special RequestsWhere a special request (eg. diet, room location, twin or double bedded room, a particular facility at a hotel, flight seat requests and/or particular meals) is an important factor in your choice of holiday, you must advise us when your booking is made. APT will pass your request onto the hotel, airline or other supplier but cannot guarantee that it will be accommodated. APT will also pass on any dietary requests to the airline but we strongly recommend that you check directly with the airline once your tickets have been issued. The provision of any special request does not constitute a term of your contract with us. Confirmation that a special request has been noted or passed on to the supplier or the inclusion of the special request on your confirmation invoice or any other documentation is not confirmation that the request will be met. Unless and until specifically confirmed, all special requests are subject to availability. *SuperDealsAll SuperDeals are strictly limited, and are available until 17 January 2014 unless sold out prior. Offers may be withdrawn at anytime. Fly Free: Available when booking Cat. E or D suite on EUGCM31/34. Includes taxes of up to $900 per person. E or D suite on EUGCM31/34.Credit Card SurchargesIf you pay APT by credit card credit card surcharges of between 1% and 3% will be added your tour price.

IF YOU WANT TO CHANGE OR CANCEL YOUR HOLIDAYChanges or Additions to Your HolidayIf you want to change any part of your holiday arrangements after the invoice has been issued, we will do our best to make the change, but it may not be possible. Any request for changes must be made in writing by the person who made the original booking, or his or her travel agent. If it is possible to make the change, it will be subject to an administration charge and payment of any further costs incurred as a result of the change. Cancellation PolicyFor all holiday packages in this brochure, the following APT cancellation fees apply:Days of Notice: Fee Per Person100 days or more Loss of deposit/s99 days or less 100% of holiday package priceAll cancellations must be received in writing by APT and are not effective until this notification has been received. If your holiday has commenced, 100% of the full holiday package price is charged. There is no refund for unused services or if portions of the holiday package are missed.

Additional cancellation fees may also be charged in respect of accommodation reserved outside the holiday package dates. These cancellation fees are in addition to any fees that may be levied by APT and your travel agent (if any). You acknowledge that the amounts estimated under the Cancellation Policy are reasonable and represent a genuine pre-estimate of APT’s loss. If you request changes after APT has issued your documents, APT may charge you a fee of $70 per person in addition to any applicable cancellation fees.Cancellation of AirfaresScheduled airlines normally regard name changes and changes to departure dates as a cancellation and rebooking which may attract a cancellation fee. Applicable cancellation fees may amount to 100% of the airfare.

IF WE CHANGE OR CANCEL YOUR HOLIDAYBrochure AccuracyAPT has endeavoured to ensure that the information given in this brochure about accommodation, itineraries etc., is correct to the best of its knowledge at the time of going to print. However, advertised descriptions and facilities and prices may change after publication. We recommend that you confirm the details of your chosen holiday package at the time of booking. Additionally, flight times, carriers and routes in the brochure are given for guidance only as there may be changes. Flight ChangesThe flight timings shown in our brochure, on our website and detailed on your confirmation invoice are for guidance only and are subject to alteration and confirmation. Flight timings are set by airlines and affected by events outside our control. Scheduled and charter flight timings, and days of operation are also subject to change. APT will advise you of any significant changes as soon as it is informed by the airline. Minor timing changes will be shown on your flight tickets. Any change in the identity of the airline, flight timings or aircraft type (if advised) will not entitle you to cancel or change to other arrangements without paying any applicable cancellation fees except where specified in these booking conditions. If We Change or Cancel Your Holiday Before Your DepartureAPT endeavours to provide you with all the services confirmed to you at the time of your booking. However, we plan arrangements a long time in advance of your departure date using independent suppliers such as airline, hotels etc., over whom we have no direct control. On occasions changes do have to be made, and APT reserves the right to cancel or amend holiday packages/excursions accordingly.Force MajeureForce Majeure means the occurrence of an event that is beyond APT’s reasonable control and which could not have been reasonably prevented by APT, which includes, but is not limited to: (a) war, armed conflict, criminal damage, riot, civil strife, industrial dispute, terrorist activity or the threat of any such acts; (b) natural disaster (including but not limited to flooding, fire, earthquake, landslide), adverse weather conditions, high or low water levels; (c) nuclear or other industrial accident causing environmental pollution or contamination; or (d) change in law, meaning, enactment, amendment (including repeal) in the law or administration of any law in Australia or any jurisdiction or territory relevant to the booking contract, which includes changes in statute, regulation, determination, by-law, declaration, licence and the common law as applicable from time to time.Termination of Booking Contract or Change of Travel Arrangements due to Force MajeureIf APT, in its reasonable opinion, considers that any Force Majeure event prevents APT (whether directly or through its employees, contractors, subcontractors and agents) from lawfully or safely providing any products or services subject of the booking contract with you, APT may immediately by written notice: (a) terminate the booking contract (in whole or in part); or (b) change your travel arrangements as reasonably practicable to ensure your safety and invoice you for any additional costs. Limitation of Liability in the Event of Force MajeureIn the event that APT cancels or changes your travel arrangements in any way due to a Force Majeure event, APT will not be liable to you in contract, tort, statute or restitution for any loss (including, but not limited to, loss of deposit or purchase price and loss of enjoyment), damage, costs, charges, expenses or injury resulting from or in connection with (whether directly or indirectly): (a) the cancellation or change to your travel arrangements; or (b) the Force Majeure event. APT is not liable to refund any part of the deposit or purchase price paid by you if APT subsequently changes or cancels your travel arrangements in connection with a Force Majeure event. Force Majeure events are unpredictable and beyond APT’s control. It is your responsibility to purchase travel insurance to adequately protect yourself against these risks.

Docking PositionDuring port stops cruise ships may dock side by side, obstructing views and requiring you to pass through other ships to embark or disembark.Local PurchasesAPT is not responsible for any items you may purchase locally i.e.: jewellery/furniture etc. You acknowledge that you are solely responsible for any import duty or freight costs.Bicycles & Bike ExcursionsFor passenger safety, bicycle excursions do not operate either side of May and October.Personal Belongings & Lost ItemsFor security reasons valuables should be kept to a minimum and packed in your hand luggage along with your medicines, camera, film, electrical or battery-operated appliances, as well as basic essentials such as a change of clothing and toiletries. It is your responsibility to look after your property at all times and you must ensure you are adequately covered by comprehensive travel insurance in the event of any loss. Disruption to Cruising & Itinerary Arrangements Itineraries are intended as a guide only and are subject to alteration without notice. Alternations may be necessary for various reasons including, without limitation, road, river or weather conditions, strikes or other reasons beyond APT’s reasonable control. If conditions render any routes unsafe for navigation, APT reserves the right to provide alternative services including, but not limited to, accommodation on the docked ship or substitute land arrangements. Under normal river conditions, itineraries will operate as far as possible as detailed in this brochure. However, sometimes for reasons beyond our control, it may be necessary to make alterations to your itinerary. For example, without limitation, if there is a water level problem on a river or canal, it may be necessary to operate part of the itinerary by coach and alternative sightseeing may be included. APT will not be liable for any direct or indirect costs that you incur as a result of any event or other factor beyond our control which necessitates a change in your itinerary. Additionally, you are not entitled to any refund for any alterations to your itinerary that are caused or contributed to by any flood or water level events or such other events which are beyond our control.
