A vanished father. A pill-popping

mother. Three sisters harboring

shady little secrets. When the

large Weston family unexpectedly

reunites after Dad disappears,

their Oklahoma family home-

stead explodes in a maelstrom of

repressed truths and unsettling secrets. Mix in Violet, the

drugged-up, scathingly acidic matriarch, and you've got a

major new play that unflinchingly—and uproariously—

exposes the dark side of the Midwestern American family.

LAURA AND THE KILLED MEN

Saturday , May 21, 2016 7:30PM Mainstage Tickets $22

Laura Kepner-Adney who spent seven years performing with Silver Thread

Trio, Tucson's critically ac-

claimed Americana ensemble,

seems to have found her

home in the folk-fused style of

Laura and the Killed Men with

its distinctive Western nod.

They just celebrated the re-

lease of their new album.

YOUNG PLAYWRIGHTS FESTIVAL

SUNDAY APRIL 10, 2016 2:00 & 6:00

ADMISSION $10 AT THE DOOR

GENERAL SEATING MAINSTAGE

PLAYWRIGHTS RANGE FROM 5TH GRADE

THROUGH 12TH GRADE

The 6th Annual Young Playwrights Festi-val is set for Sunday, April 10 with 11 short plays selected for performance at 2 pm and 6 pm.

The 2016 festival play selections show-case all genres: comedies, dark comedies, fantasies, light dramas and message dra-mas. This year's playwrights represent students in grades 5 to 12 from Prescott, Prescott Valley and Chino Valley. Over 50 plays were submitted to the judged and juried competition which is open to students in grades K-12 from throughout Arizona. Selected plays are paired with PCA directors who work with the young playwrights to take the selected works through the entire page to stage process: open cast auditions, rehearsals, and the performances before a live festival audience.

The Young Playwrights Festival is an educational outreach program that promotes literacy and theatre appreciation. Winning playwrights are awarded scholarships and trophies for first, second and third place. The closing awards ceremony follows the 6 pm performance and includes the presentation of the Tiffany Antone Grand Prize se-lected by a panel of judges at the 6 pm show and the Audience Choice Award selected from ballots cast by audience members from both the 2 pm and 6 pm performances.

The 2016 Young Playwrights Festival First Place Winner is "The Bear and the Hum-mingbird" by Jasmine Jeffries, the Second Place Winner is "The Chamomile Catas-trophe" by Alex DuBroy, and the Third Place Winner is "Teenager Syndrome" by Hannah Valley. The festival is supported through generous donations from Ghost Talk, Prescott Parents Magazine, APS, the Jewish Community Foundation, and PCA Season Sponsors Jim and Sharon Carlin and Frank and Cathy Hahn.

In 1960's Paris, a man is engaged to

three flight attendants who each live in

his apartment during their layovers in

the city. His friend comes to Paris for a

visit and is caught up in the life of care-

fully scheduled chaos where everything

goes wrong. The man's French house-

keeper is the soul of reason in the center

of this madness -- all of it taking place in

an apartment that includes 7 doors. A

classic farce performed at a breakneck

speed.

TEEN SUMMER STOCK ENSEMBLE 2016

This exciting and intensive program exclusively for older teens (15-22) experience is designed to give

teens a taste of what it’s like to work in a professional setting. Teens are immersed in the process of

mounting a fully produced musical on the PCA stage! The production is staffed by professionals. This

program is designed for both teens interested in a career in theater as well as teens want to learn life

skills through the arts.

Little Shop of Horrors JUNE 13TH THROUGH JULY 24TH REGISTRATION FEE $100

A deviously delicious Broadway and Hollywood sci-fi smash musical, Little Shop Of Horrors has devoured

the hearts of theatre goers for over 30 years. Howard Ashman and Alan Menken (Disney's The Little Mer-

maid, Beauty And The Beast, and Aladdin) are the creative geniuses behind what has become one of the

most popular shows in the world. The meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn stumbles across a new

breed of plant he names "Audrey II" - after his coworker crush. This R&B-singing carnivore promises un-

ending fame and fortune to the down and out Krelborn as long as he keeps feeding it, BLOOD!

Directed by Jim Pyduck, Musical Direction by Chris Tenney and Choreographed by Amanda Woosley

Summer Stock Jr. Disney’s The Jungle Book KIDS

The jungle is jumpin' with a jazzy beat in Disney's The Jungle Book KIDS. Specially adapted from the classic Disney animated film, Disney's The Jungle Book KIDS features a host of colorful characters and your favorite songs from the movie.

Banished by the ferocious tiger, Shere Khan, a human boy named Mowgli and his panther friend, Bagheera, are on the run in the deepest parts of the jungle. On their journey, the two meet a sinister snake named Kaa, a herd of elephants and a giant bear named Baloo, who teach-es them the swingin' musical rhythms of the jungle. After surviving a dangerous encounter with a band of monkeys led by King Louie, Mowgli and Bagheera are forced to run for their lives. When Shere Khan returns, our heroes must rally their fellow animals into battle and

restore peace throughout the jungle. Call 928-541-0209 for more information

Theater Adventures 2016 Brave Little Tailor When Chris climbs into his Grandmother's attic and blows upon a magic ocarina, the mysterious Storyteller and his many spirits and elves appear. But Chris is in for a surprise when the Storyteller sends Chris (and his trusty cat Keara) into the fable as the little tailor himself! Chris doesn't feel very brave to begin with, but once he encounters a not-so-bright giant, the royal court, two vain dragons, a mysterious unicorn and the dreaded Swamp Monster, perhaps he'll learn where bravery comes from.

Participants will need to commit to all 9 days, should be able to read—script memorization is highly desirable but not required. The workshop culminates in a single 50-minute performance followed by informal refreshments
