    As near as I can tell from researching the name Koji in Englishonline is that it can be used before any other word or name tobasically mean Japanese. It is common in contemporary times as aboys name. So . . . Im not sure what that means in terms of thehistory of Chinese narrative temple figurines, but maybe you can dosome more research???
