Galle National Museum

With it’s colonnaded front veranda, this building was once the barracks for junior officials of the Dutch East India Company (VOC). It is one of the oldest structures from the Dutch period. It contains some interesting objects from the past

Dutch Reformed Church

LOCATION: CHURCH STREETENTRANCE FEE: FREE

TIMES: 8:30AM - 5:30PM (EXCEPT MASS TIMES)

The Groote Kerk (Great Church) is built on the highest point inside the Fort in 1755. The church has a beautiful wooden hexagonal pulpit and baptismal stand. The floor contain the tombstones of many European colonist who died so far away from their native lands.

Mansion Museum Galle

This is a private museum consisting of all sorts of interesting and fascinating items collected over 40 years by Mr. Abdul Gaffar. It has built in a old Dutch colonial house.LOCATION: RAMPART STREET
