1 Paul, an apostle—not from men nor through man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead— 2 and all the brothers who are with me,To the churches of Galatia:3 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ,

Galatians 1:1-5 ESV

4 who gave himself for our sins to deliver us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, 5 to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

An Apostle was a witness to the fact that Jesus rose

from the dead(Acts 1:22; 2:32; 3:15)

The Apostles would write most of the New

Testament(John 14:26)

We, like the first century church, must devote

ourselves to the Apostle’s teaching

(Acts 2:42)

The Message- We can have peace with God if we receive

his offer of grace- This grace is available

to us because Jesus died for our sins

The Message- If we accept God’s offer of grace, he will rescue us from this

present evil age
