On March 12th, 2020, Canada’s National Ballet School opens the doors of its iconic buildings for GALA 60 VIBRANT: a high-chroma evening of immersive experience and performance to spotlight the power of dance.

The VIBRANT Gala is presented with the creative direction of New York based, Canadian fashion designer Tanya Taylor. Iconic for her vivid use of colour in fashion design, Tanya is driving the exploration of hue, movement and emotion throughout NBS’ full venue, including the Betty Oliphant Theatre and award-winning Celia Franca Centre.

2020 is NBS’ 60th anniversary year. Today, NBS is one of the world’s top ballet-training institutions, and a leader in sharing the power of dance to change peoples’ lives for the better. The VIBRANT Gala will highlight the full spectrum of NBS’ programs—from the Professional Ballet Program to NBS community programs, which encompasses the widest range of community-engagement initiatives of any ballet school in the world.

In March 2020, NBS’ gala comes home. Blending seamlessly with NBS’ bold architecture and sweeping studios, the VIBRANT Gala will present a series of immersive activities, experiences, and performances designed to be explored. Ticket options for dinner and cocktail hour complete a full sensory experience.
