An HSA works with your high deductible health plan• The high deductible health insurance

plan or HDHP covers illness or injury after your employee’s annual deductible is met, and certain preventive care services at no cost.

• Funds in their HSA can pay for eligible medical expenses before AND after their annual insurance deductible is met, including some medical expenses that may not be covered by the insurance plan.
